A Certain Flying Head in MHA

The protagonist is reborn as the brother of Sekibanki in the world of MHA. He sooner finds out, however, is that the world is mixed with other anime. Along with different plots brewing in different places, read how Kizuki navigates through his second chance at life. A MHA X Touhou fanfic. I made since I figured why not. It's my first time writing a fanfic though so beware. Please gloss over the grammatical errors and inconsistencies. Disclaimer: I don't own anything and they belong to their respective owners. And if you're wondering, the cover artist is Kyoudai Suzuka (I don't own it either)

Chapter 61

"How-" I fired off another Lazer that slipped through my heads. "-Much-" I directed some of the heads to help shoved a hero out of the way of an attack, making my said head dispell from the sustained damage. "-Further?!" I half-shouted at the middle-aged hero near me.

"Not much to go! Just-" I fired off another Lazer at a low-end Nomu that was attacking from his blind spot. "-A bit more to go..." He spun around. "That a way!" He pointed over a certain direction as he punched one of the smaller low-ends.

We're currently running through the city tracking the trail of where the mastermind would be. I'm part of a small yet sizeable amount of heroes who are fairly in the upper 50's of the rankings, with two of them in the Top 10.

Well, only one of them currently. All Might is going through multiple areas when SOS signals are called. From what I --Painstakingly-- gathered, those groups were attacked by Near-High-Ends and were almost wiped out.

I would have preferred to stay back and helped at the medical tents but the true enough with what was told to me, it appears that I am one of the targets for the Nomu's. As soon as I stopped by at any single location long enough, the mud-like substance would appear again and Nomu would start to warp in, so I had no choice but to be on the frontline. Similar reason as to why we are using a vehicle, we could risk using it and have a Nomu warping in on a free seat or a smaller variant appearing under the hood and messing with the engine.

But still, Nedzu sent a low-ranking hero my way. A middle-aged man who goes by the alias Compass Kid whose quirk allowed him to point towards whatever or whoever he's looking for, so long as he spins around first.

I understand that modern heroics needed plenty of flash and flair in order to flourish under the limelight but this guy's image is underselling his sheer utility. He can turn multiple days of searching down into a mere hour, his quirk can save literally hundreds but no, most of the public only cares about flashing lights or skimpy tights.

I jot down his name in my mind for later as he's useful, but for now I need to focus on what's to come.

As we got closer to wherever All For One is hidden, the low-ends diminished greatly. The numbers of our enemies are no longer in the hundreds but the middle-end Nomu's pose a challenge. They began to converge and warp in the closer we got to the location.

There couldn't have been more than a few handful dozens of them but each one are individually as strong as a hero in the top charts. Even if they couldn't think much or strategize, these middle-end Nomu's are equipped with two quirks each. My memory of the canon plot might be spotty at best, but I thought for sure that only the high-ends could have more than one quirk outside of the basic enhancement. Only after sending one of my heads for a closer inspection did it became clear to me that these foes are mass produced recently. By exchanging stability for power, the crammed in an extra quirk for these guys at the drawback of having a serviceable lifespan of only a few days. Either they were rapidly produced, or they were preserved somehow until they were needed.

When we finally encountered a single High-end, the location was already in our sights. Our progress started to slow into a crawl as more near-high-ends came out. These ones are also mass produced, the limited amount of intelligence that they portrayed in the anime was nowhere to be seen here. Instead of threats or distorted declarations, we were met with gutteral growlings and a bombardment of more quirks.

The saving grace was that unlike the middle-ends, these ones seemed like very recent creations and are a lot more unstable. We have seen them degrade at a rate visible to our eyes before crumbling to dust or simply exploding in a visceral shower.

When I found a few moments of respite for myself, I called in All Might to come over as we're we about to begin the true raid.

We reached a warehouse in Kamino Ward. When I saw the name of the place, I was mentally kicking myself for not investigating the place out sooner. If I just have-

No. No self-pity, not the time for this.

The place was condoned and surrounded. I took to the sky as I released another swarm of heads, all our eyes began glowing ominously. They spread out to both beside me and the other heroes, if something were to happen then they would be close enough to intervene. Hopefully this will reduce the casualties.

When the circle of heroes were settled and prepared, I nodded to All Might and reported to Nedzu. "Commencing Attack."

"Noted. Godspeed." He responded amidst the flurry of keyboard clicks and people screaming about organising papers in the background.

Ignoring the trivial sounds, I sent a thumbs up to the big blondie and he wasted no time as he simply tore through the garage door, along with the Nomu that were crushed alongside it.

That was taken as the signal on both sides. The heroes braced themselves of more of the stronger Nomu ran down the walls followed by the other Nomu's behind them running closely. But before the two sides reached each other, the ground audibility groaned. Anyone with a sane mind widened their eyes in worry, and they were right to do so.

The ground cracked even more under the stampede of the Nomu but then it physically bulged upwards and a giant rocky hand pierced through the concrete. Then another hand appeared nearby and both of them clung to the ground.

I kept my own two eyes on it even as chaos erupted among the ranks of the ground forces. The heroes are slowly falling back even as they fought to keep the abominations from escaping the encirclement.

A half a dozen of my heads are preparing a giant laser array as I watched the giant pull himself out of the ground. He lifted his head to roar at the sky, at me, and I fired.

The giant laser is a poor imitation of my sister's special move [Sky-Splitting Fiery Gaze]. The energy expenditure was supposed to be reasonable, but I found myself draining faster than I imagined due to how much the technique doesn't agree with me.

Goes to show that even close siblings can have different attributes.

Even with what is literally the largest energy expenditure that I have ever executed in my entire life, the giant is now glowing orange from the heat. The torso has plenty of burns that are still sizzling and his entire body is letting out smoke.

As the giant isn't reacting and is now simply staying still, I noticed movement from the corner of my vision so I turned to see what it was.

It was a heroine that hasn't debuted yet. Giant Lady or something, with the power of gigantification. "I got it!" She said as she walked closer to the other giant while avoiding on stepping on the other heroes.

At the risk of another headache, I expanded my senses and noticed minute twitches in his emotional state. It didn't seem like he would be waking up soon, but at the same time it also seemed like my attack wouldn't be buying us much time until he wakes up again.

I turned back to the warehouse and winced as I turned off my expanded senses. All Might was radiating so much determination that it acted like a beacon to any empath. Not to mention the other, equally beacon-like pillar of hatred that looked liked it was clashing with his.

A saving grace is that we at least we know that All For One didn't run away. Yet.

He's just a bit deeper down.

"Reinforcements have arrived at your location." Said Nedzu over the communicator. Other heroes have arrived and are supplementing the encirclement.

I shared a brief eye contact with Endeavour as he flew past me before going down and Began making quirk work of the Nomu below, only to be slowed down as the single high-end Nomu began to target him specifically.

Best Jeanist has arrived with carbon fiber wires used in bridge construction to move away the giant with help from the other giant heroine.

Edgeshot is weaving through the attacks of the file and rank as he takes them down, while Gang Orca is doing cover fire and fire suppressant to Endeavour as the high-end is proving to be a more difficult foe than he anticipated.

These are as good reinforcement as any. They are plenty more heroes elsewhere doing similar raid to we are and having four more from the top 10 is a welcome addition.

An explosion erupted in the middle of the battlefield, sending both heroes and Nomu flying. My heads sprung into action and caught those that couldn't fly and those that couldn't break their fall. I felt my eyes twitch as some of the heads were dispelled by getting squashed to break some falls but those were small sacrifices.

My heads being dispelled, the rapid draining of the lasers and creation of more heads, and the giant laser from earlier, not to mention the final phase of the plan to get rid of All For One. At this point, I already have a serious migraine.

From the outside perspective, I just look like I'm relaxing by staying up high in the air, but the truth is that I'm managing so many heads at once that I couldn't afford to break concentration because of I do, lives would be lost.

Another explosion sounded, this time came out the man of the hour himself, alongside the symbols of peace.

My eyes widened in suprise as I see that the de- no, the Feral Terror having augmented his body in cybernetics.

Throughout his body were wires and tubes containing unknown liquids that were visibly circulating as they change colours and mix into a muddy gray.

His head, the one we were sure was ruined, is only partially regenerated and the rest was replaced with metal. His cybernetic eyes zooming in on my heads that were flying by, even as he caught with All Might. Suddenly, he turned over in my direction as he hit All Might with an invisible blast that sent him back to the ground and flew towards me.

Me and my heads hit him with our lasers and kept our distance as we waited for All Might to take another leap. He might be able to fly, but his added upgrades weighted him down.

Slowly, I taunted him and peppered him with weaker attacked in inconvenient moments and less than appropriate places, luring him to the located that would be his coffin.

The location we prepared is design to be the final place he shall see. After all, I still had to pay him back for what he did in Gensokyo.

No one messes with my home and get away with it.

No one.
