Temples

I was drenched in my own sweat and took a sniff; it smelled really good for some reason.

I jumped out of bed and staggered, as I didn't see that the outline of the bed's edge was way farther than I thought.

It was then Anaya entered my room. "Lax? Why are you drenched in sweat? Hehehe~." She sounded worried, but her laugh and expression looked like she had just found a treasure.

Whoosh!

And without delay, she moved at a speed faster than a normal human was capable of and placed her hands around my waist.

"Mmmm..." She sucked in the air, using her nose to smell my scent, and rubbed her face as she snuggled deep into my chest.

"I'm drenched, so let me take a bath first." I grabbed her shoulders and left her embrace. Seeing her pout cutely, I smiled and patted her head. It looks like she has calmed down now.

Suddenly, words left her mouth, and she said:

"Wait, Lax! You can't see, so let me guide you." She then rushes to my side and grabs a hold of my arm and puts it around her shoulders as a support. "I'll wash you since you can't see!" she proudly declared with a bright smile.

I don't know if it's my imagination, but I could see her glowing brightly. Yeah, probably just my imagination, or is it because I could only see her outlines?

Anyway, after that, she took me to the bathroom, helped me take off my clothes, and helped me enter the tub. Afterwards, she cleaned every part of my body except my junior brother, as I told her I'd clean it myself.

At that time, she sounded disappointed, but she respected my request and gave me the scrub. Nonetheless, I could feel her gaze staring intensely anyway, and for better or worse, I just ignored it.

...

Almost half an hour later, I was already wearing comfortable clothes. From what Anaya told me, she said that I was wearing a plain black shirt with a panda design in the middle and light-colored shorts that reached my knees.

"You look very handsome, dear." My mother complimented me when I arrived at the living room.

She was sitting on a chair with a similar appearance to the sofa on the left side of the living room. As for my father, he was lazing around the sofa while watching the news.

"Morning, son. Come here, let's listen to some movies— ? ! ? !"

He was about to invite me to listen to some movies? When the earth started to tremble intensely. However, it wasn't enough to destroy the surroundings, and it was something more like a two-point-zero-magnitude earthquake.

"Lax!" Anaya shouted and hugged me. I knew it was just an excuse, but I didn't mind. The earthquake lasted for a few seconds before it couldn't be felt anymore.

"When are you planning to get off?" I ask Anaya with a smile. "I'm not planning to!" She declares happily.

As for my parents, one was still sitting calmly on the sofa, and as for my mother, she was too busy typing with her laptop. After all, the earthquake wasn't strong; it was the opposite; it was weak.

Half an hour later, a live breaking news report appeared on the TV, and hearing what the news was about shocked me greatly.

"We are currently here at Liancourt Rocks in East Asia, where a temple suddenly appeared a few moments ago. Currently, the Liancourt Rocks have been flattened entirely, and an ancient-looking temple has appeared out of thin air. It has seven floors and the same height as a seven-story building."

A temple appeared out of nowhere just a month before the disaster. Of course, something like this can't be a coincidence. It's just that...

"Something like this didn't appear in the previous world." I mumbled under my breath and continued patting Anaya's head.

She looks very cute in this position; however, feeling my junior brother heating up, I broke away from her snuggle and sat down on the couch.

"Apparently, military officials from Japan and Korea have arrived at the location. It caused conflict to arouse between the two countries military, and at the verge of fighting, Japan and Korea decided to send their own half Korean and half Japanese generals. The two militaries are currently investigating the place referred to, but they were all blocked by an invisible barrier upon closing in a hundred meters away from the temple."

The reporter continued, but I left at that moment since he was only asking opinions from the surrounding tourists.

"Oh, why don't we visit that place? It's already pretty popular, just like the other six temples," Anaya suggested, and she showed me an article from a website on her phone.

There are six more! Why are they appearing now? In the previous world, not a single temple emerged a month before the disaster. So, why are they appearing so suddenly?

"I need to get to the bottom of this. More specifically, I need to go to that place."

I knew these temples must have at least a connection to the upcoming disaster. So, I'll ask my parents to see if they'll take me there.

"Mother, why don't we—" But before I could finish speaking, my mom got up and shouted.

"Let's visit that place; it's where your father proposed to me. I want to know what's going on in that important place. What do you guys think?" She looked at us with a happy smile.

Suddenly, I learned a piece of information from my parents' past. Although I was worried they would refuse, I'm glad that I didn't have to be the one to suggest that first.

And as the simp he was for my mother, he immediately nodded his head as if to agree. Then she looked towards us.

"Mmm..." I nodded in confirmation, and Anaya followed my response.

She didn't care, as long as she was with Lax. The only thought in her mind was, 'A date with Lax! ' Her mind right now is currently overwhelmed with joy.

...

"Hurry, Lax, Anaya. We're going to be late for our check-in." Lax's mother called out to the two as she exited the taxi.

"Why don't you just go in first, Melissa? It's your fault we're late, after all... I mean, let's go inside." Carter was about to rebut his wife, but he stopped after seeing the 'gentle' smile on her face.

In a hurry, he went in first, inside the hotel. Lax and Anaya laughed at his reaction. Afterwards, they too hurried inside along with their mother.

The hotel their mother booked for a month was a luxurious one, and it looked like a skyscraper. Obviously, they too had to dress up properly, and because of that, Lax had to wear an outfit he wasn't used to.

Lax was wearing a stylish black shirt with long sleeves tucked in under his dark-colored pants, locked in by a black leather belt.

As for Anaya, she wore a black-colored cocktail dress with mid-size sleeves, and similar to her mother, it had a unique white flower design in the skirt. The dress highlighted her thin waist and perfect figure, which could make all supermodels inferior, while the skirt covered her thick thighs.

Lax nodded in satisfaction, knowing that, and got a glance at her chest; it was an E-cup-sized breast. He soon turned away to calm his mind before certain imaginations filled up his mind.

"Mmn." Anaya, just like Lax, nodded satisfied, having caught a glance of him staring at her body. Though she looked disappointed when he turned away,

'Wait! Did Lax just stare at me?!' She was so satisfied that she forgot the fact he was blind. However, staring back at Lax, who was already acting like he couldn't see, she concluded that it was just her imagination.

'That was close...'

...

After almost getting caught by Anaya, he was guided inside the hotel by her.

As soon as they entered, they immediately caught everyone's attention, especially Anaya and Lax. The two of them were really eye-catching.

One was a tall and very handsome young man dressed in black; however, the most notable feature of this man was his clouded eyes. He was blind.

As for the girl, it was obvious that she was getting the attention of everyone in the lobby because of her extremely gorgeous face and her hair, which was a mix of auburn and white. Everyone wondered how she would look when she matured in the future.

Anyway, at the same time people were stuck in their imaginations, Melissa had already finished checking in.

"Let's go up; our room is on the sixteenth floor," said Melissa, and she led the way towards the elevator.

Anaya, Carter, and Lax followed behind, but before that, Lax felt a gaze from the counter. It belonged to a girl with a slightly rosy face, and she was mindlessly staring at Lax as if she were hypnotized.

Lax gave her a handsome smile, causing the girl to almost faint, but before she did, she exclaimed inwardly.

'Isn't he blind?!? '

"Argh..." Suddenly Lax felt a jolt of pain in his side; it came from a blow dealt by Anaya, who dragged him inside the elevator with their arms crossed.

Afterwards, she glared at the star-struck woman with dangerous thoughts before she calmed down.

'I can't do that, or else I wouldn't be able to have a date with Lax if I'm in prison.'

If Lax knew of her thoughts, he would find it funny knowing that he doesn't mind this girl being possessive of him.

After all, who doesn't like yanderes? Yanderes are great! That's right, Yanderes are great!

Anyway...

A few moments later, they stepped inside the sixteenth floor and looked for room 176, the same number as the keys in his mother's hand.

"Oh, it's this one." Melissa inserted the key into the doorknob hole.

Click!

She then opened the door and went inside, with the others following her from behind.

"It looks great," commented Carter.

"Right? I was right to rent this apartment since not only is it affordable, but it is also befitting of a luxurious hotel," she proudly said along with a puff of her chest.

"Anyway, there are two rooms in this hotel, and each one has a bed that can fit two people, a living room, two bathrooms, and a personal calling service so that you could order whenever you want." Melissa explained and grabbed a remote-like object to show.

"How will we divide the rooms?" Lax asked. Although he already knew the answer, he just wanted to ask.

"Of course, the first room will be mine and your father's. The other one will belong to the two of you." She gave Anaya a wink, and the said person was smiling and nodding happily.

"How did I not notice this before?" He couldn't help but question how dense he was previously seeing their obvious behavior.

...

A day and a night full of enjoyable things—it was an experience Lax hasn't had for a long time, and it greatly exhausted him, but he was happy. After all, he got to enjoy a great day with his family.

Currently, it was six in the morning, and Lax felt something light on top of his body. Obviously, it was Anaya who was sleeping with a satisfied smile on her face, and at random times she would unconsciously sniff at Lax.

Lax smiled kindly, but soon he frowned.

"Lax... Something is poking me. Hehehe~" The supposed to be asleep Anaya told Lax with a grin.

"It's just a natural reaction," said Lax as he gently placed Anaya next to him.

That's right; in nature, it was natural for wood to rise. It was very natural! And since it's morning, it shall be called morning wood.

Lax then got up from the bed and headed towards the bathroom. Naturally, he was guided by Anaya.
