Lira continue to stare at Vadal, waiting for him to say something. But he had remained silent, his expression unreadable. Finally, he spoke, his voice low and calm. "Continue eating, your food is getting cold," he said, his eyes never leaving hers. Lira nodded, still feeling hesitant, and picked up her fork.
"The temperature is getting cold," she complained, trying to change the subject. But Vadal's smile told her that he knew exactly what she meant. The temperature in the room had dropped, but it wasn't just the air that was cold. The atmosphere between them was tense, and Lira could sense the underlying emotions.
Lira tried to clear up the misunderstanding, hoping to ease the tension. "Are you feeling angry because of Laurent's plan? I won't do it, trust me, I really won't transfer anything," she said, her voice sincere. Vadal's expression didn't change, but his eyes seemed to soften slightly.
Vadal's hand slid across her face, his fingers gentle on her skin. "I know, I'm not angry," he said, his voice low and husky. "I'm just thinking about how to punish an animal, the kind of punishment that will be best for it." Lira felt a shiver run down her spine as she realized what he meant. The animal he was referring to was Laurent, and Vadal's words sent a chill down her spine.
"Let's eat, wife," Vadal said, his voice dripping with possessiveness. Lira felt goosebumps as she met his gaze, knowing that she was in this with him now. She was his wife, and he would do everything in his power to protect her and protect his image. The thought sent a thrill through her, and she couldn't help but wonder what Vadal had planned for Laurent.
As they ate in silence, Lira couldn't shake off the feeling of foreboding. She knew that Vadal was planning something, and she wasn't sure if she should be scared or excited. The tension between them was palpable, and she could sense the underlying emotions simmering just below the surface. The question was, what would happen next? Would Vadal confront Laurent, or would he take a more subtle approach? Lira's heart was racing with anticipation, and she knew that she had to be prepared for anything.
After breakfast,
Lira decided to return to her room. Vadal stared at her, calm and collected. "I will be going to the company," he said. Lira nodded and walked towards him, her eyes locked on his. She kissed him softly, her lips brushing against his. "I will be in my room, but don't keep me waiting for your return the whole day, or I will teach you a terrible lesson," she said sweetly, a hint of playfulness in her voice.
Vadal smiled and kissed her back, his arms wrapping around her waist. "I'm all yours, you can do anything you want with me," he replied, his voice low and husky. Lira's face lit up with a cute smile, and she said, "Yeah, but you are going to the company. I will wait for you." She spoke in a sweet, gentle tone, but with a hint of warning underlying her words.
With that, she turned and walked upstairs to her room, leaving Vadal to watch her go. A beautiful, stunning smile spread across his face as he gazed after her, his heart filled with love and affection for the woman who had captured his heart. He stood there for a moment, taking in the sight of her retreating back, before turning to head out to the company.
message notification interrupted Lira's thoughts. She picked her phone up from the bedside table, and her eyes scanned the screen. "Meet me at the Casanova, let's have some time together, I'm bored," the text from Selena read.
Lira's eyes sparkled with a mixture of amusement and annoyance as she read Selena's text message. "Meet me at the Casanova, let's have some time together, I'm bored," the message read. Lira's gaze narrowed, and a cunning smile spread across her face. She felt a surge of anger and betrayal towards her so-called best friend, who had been constantly questioning her relationship with Vadal and warning her to be careful around him.
But what really got Lira's blood boiling was the fact that Selena had been secretly trying to win Vadal's heart behind her back. The thought of it made Lira's smile grow wider, and a cold, calculated glint appeared in her eyes. "Selena," she whispered her name, her voice dripping with malice.
Lira's fingers flew across the screen as she typed out a response. "Ok, I'm free. I will meet you at our usual spot," she texted back, her tone innocent and casual. But beneath the surface, Lira was seething with rage and determination. She was going to confront Selena about her betrayal, and she was going to make sure that her so-called best friend regretted ever trying to sabotage her relationship with Vadal.
As she waited for Selena's response, Lira's mind began to spin with plans and schemes. She was going to play it cool, pretend like nothing was wrong, and then strike when Selena least expected it. The thought of it sent a thrill of excitement through Lira's veins, and she couldn't wait to see the look on Selena's face when she finally confronted her.
Ok I will be waiting for you there be quick. Selena texted back. Lira didn't bother to read the text again, she already knew what it said. Instead, she dialed Vadal's number. "Husband, I will be going out to meet a friend, I may come back late," she said, trying to sound casual.
Vadal's voice was firm on the other end of the line. "Who is that?" he asked, his tone hinting at a mix of concern and possessiveness. Lira smiled to herself, knowing that Vadal was always looking out for her. "It's Selena, I will be hanging out with her. Take care," she replied, trying to reassure him.
But Vadal's response was immediate and warning. "Don't go out with her alone, she's not a good person," he said, his voice low and serious. Lira raised an eyebrow, remembering how Vadal had always been telling her that Selena was not a good influence, but she had never listened to him in the past.
"Yeah, but she's my friend and I have told her I will be there," Lira replied, trying to sound nonchalant. But Vadal's concern was palpable, even over the phone. "Ok, just be careful, wife," he said, his voice softening slightly.
Lira smiled to herself, feeling a sense of reassurance at Vadal's words. "Yeah," she replied, before hanging up the phone. She took a deep breath, preparing herself for the confrontation that was to come with Selena.
