Chapter 2: Enzo

What are these?" The men shivered as he roared at them.

"Are you trying to tell me that you took chairs, jugs and all those useless stuff from them? Everytime I think I've gotten to the height of your stupidity, you always show me that there's more" He said again, his voice echoing round the empty room.

"You took kitchen appliances that are not even worth a quarter of the amount owed. He owes us a f!cking six hundred thousand dollars. Damn" He said as he ran his hand through his hair with a loud groan. He was running out of his mind right now and their faces only made things worse.

"Why didn't you even bring him here? That would have been better" He added.

"We didn't see him in the restaurant" One of the men replied

"Oh really? Then how did you manage to take these junks? Or you've turned into burglars overnight?" He asked with a slight cock of his brow.

"His daughter was there" Another one of the men replied.

"His daughter?" He repeated

"Yeah, his daughter. She was the one we saw" He answered. He was about to say something else when a man walked into the room, his footsteps slow and calculated.

"The boss demands your presence" he said and left without waiting to hear his reply.

"F!ck, what am I going to tell him? You useless pieces of trash?" Taylor gritted his teeth in anger. He shouldn't have allowed them to go on their own, he should have gone with them.

"Nobody leaves this room till I'm back" he said before walking out, jamming the door after him.

He walked down the stairs and headed straight to the sitting room. He took deep breaths before walking into the light.

"You called for me sir" Taylor said as he drew close to the man who had both of his hands in his pockets. He stopped at a safe distance, but he could still feel his aura suppressing him where he stood.

Lorenzo stared out the streets of Palermo, his eyes fixated on the lights down below. He was on the fourth floor, which was the highest in the building and it made it easy for him to enjoy the view.

Sicily was not his home of birth, but he had always loved the place, felt attached to it. He had always loved the city of Palermo particularly and he made sure to visit whenever he had the chance. But this time around , he was not here for the fun of it. He was here for business.

He heard the door open, and he heard someone's footsteps. He didn't bother to check as he already knew who it was.

He turned, both of his hands still tucked in his pocket as he watched the man in front of him with a slight tilt of his head.

"Where's my money Taylor?" Lorenzo asked. His face was calm, and so was his voice. But Taylor knew that was just a shield and he would be a fool to relax.

"Si..i..rr" Taylor stuttered. His palms were clammy and his breathing ragged as he thought of what to say that wouldn't make him end up a dead man before this conversation was over. He knew Lorenzo and the man was very unpredictable, one word doesn't sit well with him and he's gone, like gone gone.

"I asked you a question Taylor" he said, adjusting his suit so he could take a peek at the watch on his wrist. It seems he was going for an important event.

"Sir, the men said they couldn't find him, so they took some things from his restaurant" He spoke this time without stuttering, even though he could literally hear his heart beating loudly against his rib cage.

He scoffed, his eyes turning darker.

"What did they take?" He asked, his voice not losing his calm.

"Some kitchen utensils sir" Taylor answered with his head bowed. As if expecting what was to come, he ducked and a knife landed tight where his head was a few seconds ago.

He almost collapsed from the shock of it. If he hadn't been fast enough, then he should be lying there, in a pool of his own blood. The thought of it made his heart beat fast, almost causing a heart attack.

"Six hundred thousand dollars and all you could do was bring me kitchen utensils, how helpful of you" Lorenzo said, his words laced with sarcasm.

"I'm sorry sir, please forgive me" Taylor said as he went down on his knees.

"Why didn't you bring him to me?" He asked.

"He was not in the restaurant when we got there. We only met his daughter" He said, trying to keep his voice steady to avoid stuttering and aggravating his anger.

"Did you say daughter?" His words caught Taylor's attention.

"Yeah he does, a fine one at that. She can make the money back at the Winehouse" Taylor suggested and the glare he got from Lorenzo was enough to shut him up.

"I'm sorry sir, if you could just give me twenty four hours please" He pleaded, his face sweaty and his palms clammy.

"That won't be important anymore, bring me the girl"

"I'll be back by tomorrow morning and I need to see her when I get back" Lorenzo added and Taylor nodded frantically.

"If I come back here tomorrow and she is not here, I would make sure the rising sun would be the last you see" He said with a straight face and Taylor nodded, he sighed in relief when he heard Lorenzo's words. That only meant he wasn't dying tonight and the thought of it made him really happy.

Lorenzo walked out of the room, his both hands in his pocket after taking his pocket knife off the wall.

"Gotcha Enzo" Iven yelled as he came out of his hiding place.

"What is it Ivan?" He asked with a bored expression. He was sick and tired of his shenanigans.

"We caught him" Ivan said and Lorenzo paused in his tracks. He gave him a side glance before he resumed walking.

"Where's he?" He asked, his eyes had turned cold in a minute and he looked bloodthirsty at this point.

"Easy there big man" Ivan said with a chuckle.

"He's exactly where you want him to be. But before that, we have something more important to do" He said with a cocky smirk. Enzo knew what Ivan was talking about and it thrilled him a little. At least he gets to have fun for a minute.

"Are they still in the neighborhood?" He asked.

"Yeah, let's hunt them down. Like the old days" Ivan said, a small smile at the corner of his lips.
