"The book, or your life." Othen demanded as he prepared 6 fireballs with a smirk on his face.

"And of course the system wants me to fight him." Klyde groaned as He took out the blood sword, a sword with a brown handle and two crimson blades hear each other and used analyse on it.

He then stared at Othen as she shot fireballs at him. Klyde pushed through the attacks, blocking all of the fireballs with his sword, drawing closer to him. He got it close range to Othen and as he was about to attack him, Othen used a speed boost spell on himself to and dodged Klyde's attack. He backed away from Klyde and created a larger fireball and shot it at him. The fireball landed on Klyde and pushed him away a bit.

Though the damage he would take was decreased, his armor wasn't gonna going to protect him for long as Othen started bombarding Klyde with more fireballs.

He supported himself with his sword as the bombardment stopped.

"You're just a level 1, do you really wanna risk dying?" Othen asked as he started casting a larger fireball.

"You know, for a level 20 you're pretty weak." He stood upright and held his sword, preparing to attack. "I might just beat you if you aren't careful.

He ran straight to Othen who fired the fireball. It drew closer who, knowing he couldn't tank the fireball right on, jumped to the left away from him as it hit the ground and exploded.

He got to a close enough distance for close combat and tried attacking Othen with his swords.

Othen used a status magic to increase his speed and dodged his attacks. The more he attacked, the more Othen just dodged, and this started to wear him town.

‹Stamina: 80/100›

"You can't win a fight against a level 20 when you're level one." Othen teased. "Don't try to be a big shot."

Klyde clenched his sword, clearly frustrated by the power gab. He stepped back and took a deep breath. He looked at at Othen with a more determined expression.

"Meteor slash!" Klyde Roared as he dashed at Othen. He body felt like it was moving on its own as his sword glowed and he jumped in the air and cut off Othen's arm.

As Othen saw his hand land to the floor he dropped his wand clutched the part that still remained and yelled in pain. Klyde wasn't satisfied though as he pressed his sword on Othen's neck. As Othen felt the cold metal touch his skin and the blood On it trickling down his neck his eyes widened in fear as his head would be next.

As Klyde was about to dismember his head he reconsidered, as he thought of sparing him instead. He lifted his and instead, stabbed the right of his torso. Othen screamed his agony and collapsed, blood pouring out of his wounds.

Seeing he got his reward, Klyde smirked as he looked at Othen. "You're a mage, right. I'm sure you can heal that yourself. If you die, not my problem." Klyde said he walked off.

He went back to the guild and brought the cores. When Emily saw him her her expression from smug to pissed and then worry before the ran off, unbeknownst to Klyde.

"I have returned the cores." He placed five cores on the table.

"Oh, it's you again. Your payment will be brought to you in just a moment." She said and left, taking the cores. She came back with a tray coins stacked on each other. "Here are your coins, sir." She said with a warm smile.

Klyde took the payment and then sat on that same table again. He noticed that there were some elves in the guild but wondered why they weren't there before.

"I still have that extra stat point, better put it in strength."

Emily was wondering in the forest when he found Othen resting on a tree, but he was wounded and looked weak. Though he tried healing his arm back, his basic healing wasn't enough and he could only cover the wound to stop blood leakage.

"Brother!" Emily yelled as he ran to Othen and helped him get up. "Who did this to you."

"It… was… Kly…" Othen said, his voice weak and barely a whisper, before he passed out.
