Chapter 265: Medical Demon!

Minato was uneasy, feeling the pinch from Reiki's support. The help Reiki provided during the battle had been invaluable, but it came at a high price. If Reiki continued to support battles at this level, it would be impressive, but the cost? Enormous. The thought of explaining it to Kushina later filled him with dread. How could he say that they had advanced their mission reward just to cover expenses?

He sighed, already envisioning Kushina's reaction—probably involving fists.

"Let's wait for Reiki to finish the treatment and interrogation. Maybe we'll learn something useful," Minato said, settling down for a brief rest.

"Minato, haven't you noticed something?" Choza approached with a thoughtful expression.

"Huh?" Minato blinked, still half-distracted by thoughts of Kushina's inevitable outburst.

"The potions Reiki gave us—they're still active," Choza said. "If we start training now, we'd benefit from their effects. I'm pretty sure we'd gain more than usual."

Minato's eyes lit up as he and Aburame Kan checked their chakra flows. Sure enough, they still felt energized, stronger even.

"I get it now. That's why Reiki is so skilled for a medical ninja—he must train this way. Let's go. We can't waste this opportunity. Just keep it far enough not to disturb Reiki's treatment."

Minato led the way, with Choza and Kan close behind. They called to Nozuki, "We're leaving Reiki in your care while we take care of something."

Nozuki looked puzzled. "What are they up to?" she muttered. But her mission was clear: stay with Reiki.

Three hours later, Reiki finished treating the six injured captives. He wiped the sweat from his brow, looking satisfied. "Brother Minato and the others were ruthless, but these rewards were worth it." He glanced at his system panel, noting the thousands of chakra points and talents gained from the captured elite jounin.

"Alright, time for interrogation," Reiki said. He glanced around. "Wait, where did Minato and the others go?"

"Brother, they said something about training and left me to keep watch," Nozuki explained.

Reiki raised an eyebrow but shrugged it off. "Want to join the interrogation? I learned some neat techniques from the interrogation department."

"Sure, but what can I do?" Nozuki asked, eager to help.

Reiki smirked and handed her a hammer. "Start with this one. Smash his toes, gently at first."

"Smash his toes?" Nozuki repeated, eyes widening. But she followed orders, striking the prisoner's toes.

The captive groaned, but his expression remained stoic. He wouldn't break under such a minor tactic. Even if they tore him apart, he wouldn't talk.

"Reiki, are you sure this will work?" Nozuki glanced at him doubtfully.

"It will. I learned this method from Igawa Tsuna-sama," Reiki said nonchalantly. "Now, smash the other foot."

"Understood." Nozuki struck again, and Reiki began to heal the man's toes.

"What… what are you doing?" The captive's voice wavered with confusion.

"Healing you," Reiki replied. "So that Nozuki can smash your toes again, over and over. Igawa Tsuna-sama said if the prisoner doesn't talk after a few hundred times, we finish them off."

The ninja's eyes widened, masking the disbelief with forced laughter. This was absurd—no one would crack from such a childish technique. But as Reiki healed him completely, the pain seemed sharper with each blow.

"Boom!"

Nozuki brought down the hammer again, and the man gritted his teeth. The process repeated—ten times, twenty times… sixty, ninety times. The pain blurred with anticipation, an unending cycle of agony.

"Enough! Just kill me!" The man's composure shattered as he screamed. The repetitive torture, coupled with Reiki's meticulous healing, had shredded his resolve. Each strike, fully felt, followed by seamless healing, amplified the pain rather than numbing it.

Reiki, unfazed, turned to Nozuki. "He still hasn't answered. We'll go up to the 199th strike and give him one last chance."

"199? What do you need to know? Ask, and I'll tell you everything!" The ninja shouted, no longer caring for pride or silence. The cycle was too much; it wasn't just pain—it was the endless, soul-crushing hope of reprieve, dashed over and over.

"Is this even a medical ninja?" he thought, panic-stricken. No, this was a medical demon.
