CHAPTER 49

EDWINA

"Just let it go, honey," Harriet said, and I sighed as I leaned my head on her couch.

We were talking about Orion, and how determined he was to avoid me. Even when I saw him at events such as dinners and all of that, he always pretended like I wasn't a person.

Like I didn't exist.

I hated to make the comparison, but I finally understood how Kieran must have felt, probably feeling, giving the fact that I was giving him the same treatment.

"Father is still mad at me. He won't speak to me outside of business settings. I don't know what to do," I groaned.

"Your Father will get over his disappointment sooner or later. It's been weeks now, Edwina. I think Orion message is clear enough. He doesn't want to have anything to do with you, period," she said bluntly.

I sighed again.
