She was too late

When Alice got to the den, she realized that most of Big Stach's men had gone out and Big Stach went out with them.

They drove the expensive cars they usually kept hidden, and only used when Big Stach wanted to go on events.

"Wait, if Big Stach went out, then doesn't this mean he won't be able to taste Diane tonight?" She thought, feeling excited.

This meant they could escape without them finding out.

This was great. She rushed to pack up necessities and then ran back out. But when she got to the Mart, she couldn't find Diane.

There were a few people seated there and she asked,

"Excuse me? Did you see my friend? She was wearing her hair in a bun." She explained, describing with her hands.

"Ah, she just left." The guy she had asked said. "A few fancy cars were driving past and then one stopped in front of her. I don't know what they were saying, but she walked in with them, and they left."

Alice's heart fell.
