KINGSLEY
I realized that I was going at it the wrong way.
Taking rain to dewfall was an in-the-moment idea and I am so glad I did when I saw his face as he steps through the threshold.
"Your second home," I wave around, feeling anxious.
I have been nervous and on my nerves since last night. I put myself in Rain's shoes and realized how jerk-ass and inconsiderate I have been from the day we met.
I was a stranger to him, and I went ahead and carted him where he needed to be, all because he was now bound to me for life. I was asking him to love me when he didn't even know me, the only thing between us is an ancient bond that has acted as a red string connecting us both all our lives.
Most of those who bond and mate are usually from within the pack, an easy transition since they have grown together. They know each other so it's not such a whiplash.
