Chapter 4 Escape

　　"Creak~Creak~" with the sound of waves lapping against the cabin, Lily slowly opened her eyes.

　　"Awake." Kaido said.

　　"Where are we?" Lily asked

　　"A Navy ship, and I didn't wake up long before you did." Kaido raised his hand, accompanied by a clatter of chains.

　　The two were in a holding cell at the bottom of the ship, and to prevent the two from escaping, the Navy had tied heavy iron locks to both of their arms, which were attached to the walls by chains.

　　"Clang," the iron door was opened.

　　"Waking up ah, here, your dinner." A Navy soldier walked in with two dinner plates and placed them in front of the two, turning back and heading out after that.

　　"Hey..! Wait!" Lily asked slightly hoarsely

　　"Ah, what else?" The soldier said as he pulled out his ears impatiently.

　　"Where am I going with this?"

　　"Navy Headquarters, where else?" The soldier waved his hand and left without further ado.

　　"Squeak~" Kaido and Lily looked at each other as the ship rattled.

　　"We're leaving." Lily was the first to voice out

　　"That's right, I'm not going to be one of those World Government lackeys." Kaido said as he grabbed the bread from the dinner plate in front of him and took a hard bite.

　　"Those disgusting nobles." Lily cursed, although she had long known the disgustingness of the nobles from her adoptive father, but after all, she had never experienced it personally, although the previous Lily did not have a good feeling towards the nobles, but she could not be called evil, but this time the matter had awakened Lily's hatred towards these nobles, for their own interests they did not hesitate to sell out the generals who sold their lives under their command, this kind of guy should not exist!

　　"Kaido, what is your dream?" Lily also took a bite of bread.

　　"Old man? Haven't really thought about it, but if I have to say, I want to smash all those disgusting nobles now!" Kaido said as he dumped the contents of his dinner plate into his mouth in one gulp and chewed twice.

　　"Smash that bunch of nobles to pieces and build a world where everyone is free to choose their future, a world without nobles." Lily looked at the bars in front of her, but pictured the future in her mind.

　　"But the first step is for us to escape" Kaido said.

　　"That's for sure, is the stuff still there?" Lily smiled

　　"Uh-uh-uh-uh, that's for sure." Carefully taking off his shoes, Kaido eased out a thin iron hook at the heel of his left shoe, a habit of Kaido's, a craft practiced when he was still a street punk.

　　"I'll keep an eye on it for you, hurry." Lily whispered.

　　"No problem, this kind of lock is actually not that hard to open, well one opened." As he was saying this, Kaido had already opened one latch and hurried to open the other.

　　Meanwhile outside the door of the holding cell, two navy soldiers were snorting in boredom

　　"Did you hear any movement?" Soldier A asked as he looked around.

　　"The sound of waves I guess, looking at the situation there might be a big storm lately." Soldier B yawned, "Rear Admiral Bove really, why don't you change the ship ah, promoted to Rear Admiral of the headquarters, according to reason can change a good good ship ah, why still use this branch of the old ship."

　　"I have water here, quick, open the door!" Soldier A pulled out the water bottle on his body, the Major General had specially explained that the two of them should not be okay, if they were not careful and choked to death, they could not afford it.

　　But they didn't realize one thing, the handcuffs on the two men's hands seemed to be a bit loose, just at the moment when the two soldiers opened the door.

　　"Brush!" Kaido and Lily instantly rushed in front of the soldiers, both of them punched the soldier's abdomen at the same time, the pain of the diaphragm prevented both of them from making a sound, followed by the two of them punching the back of the soldier's head, at least for 24 hours, these two of them won't know what's happening in the outside world.

　　Kaido and Lily carefully stepped out of the cell door and felt their way out a little bit, it must be nighttime now, the corridors were quiet with only the old kerosene lamps providing brightness in the cabin's.

　　"There's no way we can take the whole ship, the primary goal now is to find enough supplies, and then a big ship like this must have lifeboats, if we put them down we can get out." Lily analyzed as she rubbed her horn.

　　"No problem, let's find the warehouse first." Kaido nodded and agreed with Lily, and with that the two of them used the help of the night to feel their way around the ship, the cell that the two of them were originally in was at the lowest end of the ship, and the ship became more and more rocky as the two of them felt their way upwards.

"Looks like it's going to storm." Kaido sniffled, having fought at sea for years, they both knew the weather at sea.

　　"It's a nuisance, but it's also an opportunity, while we may encounter danger at sea, the chances of a successful escape are much greater." Lily said as she was about to move forward, but Kaido pulled her back.

　　"Here." Kaido pointed to the hatch on the side, which plainly read [Warehouse].

　　"Good for you." Lily gave a thumbs up and the two carefully pushed open the door, it was pitch black with no light at all, seeing no one around, they felt their way in.

　　"There's rum in here." Kaido touched a large barrel, opened the lid and smelled it, the sea fresh water is not easy to preserve, rum and such things are almost a necessity.

　　"Here's jerky and cookies, and a couple packages of dried bread, oh and spices, can't use this one." Lily had something as well, "Don't forget to find some clothes." Clothes would keep them warm, as well as pack those things.

　　"I know, but these clothes are too small, hey what's this?" Kaido found a large bundle on his way through the rummage, reaching out and grabbing it, it weighed quite a bit and Kaido opened it curiously.

　　"Hachisai Rings!" Kaido whimpered.

　　"What did you find?" Lily heard Kaido's voice and came forward to find Lily's saber and Kaido's Hachisai Ring lying quietly in an unfolded bundle in front of Kaido, and underneath it were clothes for both of them, and even some of the Wocka Kingdom's specialty breads and alcoholic beverages.

　　"There's a letter here." Kaido silently took out a letter from his clothes and handed it to Lily
