Intoxicating scent

The next morning, Min Jun woke up to an empty bed. Hyun Soo was nowhere in sight, and a slight panic rose in his chest as he sat up abruptly. Glancing at the clock, he saw it was exactly eight in the morning. He couldn't remember when he had drifted off the previous night, but Hyun Soo's calming presence beside him must have lulled him into a rare, deep sleep.

Throwing off the covers, Min Jun stepped out of the room and followed the faint sound of activity coming from the kitchen. There, he found Hyun Soo already busy cooking breakfast, the soft sizzle of food in the pan filling the air.

"Shouldn't you be heading to the office?" Min Jun asked, his voice still laced with sleep.

Hyun Soo looked up from the pan, a soft smile playing on his lips. "Good morning," he greeted, his tone warm. "I'm on a break today. Besides, the first trial is today," he added.
