The brutal way of the lycan

Werewolves, one of the most deadly monsters that have plagued the human race since the dawn of time, a race that were excellent hunters and excelled thanks to their physical bodies.

Unlike their counterparts, they do not struggle in the sunlight or have problems living normal lives amongst humans. No matter their bloodline or purity. Compared to vampires, where the lowest bloodlines will burn into ashes under the sunlight.

However, if based only on this face, they would never be considered one of the dominant races of monsters. Why? Because they lacked magic! Although they could use their aura to form something that resembled the blood arts of a vampire, it was considerably weaker.

So...

Why were werewolves always placed directly at the top beside vampires as members of the top six races regarding danger, heritage and power?

It is because a werewolf's power increases through their emotions and desires.
