[Chapter 515: The Nipple entertainment theory]
Hartford, Connecticut.
Arthur attended a speech and gathering organized by former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, accompanied by Jennifer Connelly.
"Mr. Ted Turner is here too, Arthur," Jennifer reminded him.
"Got it, I'll step away for a bit," Arthur said as he patted her on the shoulder.
Food Wars: A War Without Gunpowder! Henry Kissinger's famous food theory stated:
"If you control oil, you control all nations;
If you control currency, you control the world;
If you control food, you control humanity."
Ted Turner saw Arthur approaching, and they embraced. "Arthur, who would've thought you'd participate in such a boring event?"
Arthur chuckled, "It's a bunch of lunatics here!"
"Yeah, the planet just can't handle much more population," Ted Turner smiled. "At least we need to reduce by two billion, so we don't face a food crisis."
Arthur glanced at him, noticing that the attendees at the Fairmont Hotel conference were indeed a group of extreme egoists against humanity; Ted Turner, Henry Kissinger, Bill Gates, Alan Greenspan, Gorbachev, and Margaret Thatcher, among others!
Arthur sat on the couch. "No wonder everyone calls you the Mad Captain and the Mouth of the South. CNN broke the monopoly of the Big Three news networks and became number one globally!"
The collaboration of Anglo-Saxons and Jews was indeed quite compatible.
"Haha, Arthur, once you head over to San Francisco, you'll meet more crazy folks. You'll get used to it," Ted Turner, a key figure in the Anglo-Saxon camp, said. Arthur Smith was in the same boat. And Arthur Smith, being younger and more accomplished, had limitless potential ahead!
Arthur smiled without speaking, just casting a look at the not-so-far Henry Kissinger. At seventy-something, he was still in good shape.
"By the way, has Gorbachev already gone to San Francisco?"
Ted Turner nodded, "Well, he's one of the organizers!"
Of course, it was nominal; former Soviet President Gorbachev's title still held weight. In recent years, after retiring, his pension from Russian President Yeltsin was very low, leading Gorbachev to remain quite active in the entertainment industry. This year, he published his memoir titled The Truth and Confessions: Gorbachev's Memoirs and achieved financial freedom!
"Brzezinski's technocratic elitism is a crucial foundation for Hollywood," Ted Turner said, glancing at Arthur. "This is Galaxy's opportunity!"
Arthur squinted, noting Brzezinski's technocratic elitism was indeed quite powerful.
Only 20% of human elites participated in the mainstream of society; the remaining 80% trash population ought to be sidelined, living off the milk of the system: satisfying entertainment, an open porn industry, encouraging violent online games, and inciting verbal wars.
Satisfying entertainment meant producing a large number of soap operas and idol dramas, reporting on celebrity scandals extensively, and airing reality shows and other mass entertainment programs to occupy time.
This is also known as The Nipple entertainment theory.
Moreover, the new version of "ethnic cleansing," the upgraded crematorium, utilized war and disease to eliminate the population!
The main force behind the technocratic elitism was Hollywood's media power, promoting entertainment and hedonism.
Feeding those 80% population a pacifier would make them have no time to develop themselves, keeping them as labor resources at the bottom of society!
Arthur changed the subject, "The four major grain merchants control 80% of global grain trade -- Kissinger's food wars are quite ruthless!"
The world's four major grain companies, ADM, Bunge, and Cargill were all based in the U.S., with only Louis Dreyfus in Europe. However, although Louis Dreyfus was a French enterprise, many of its shareholders had American backgrounds.
"People can never escape food," Ted Turner said as he patted Arthur's shoulder. "Let's go meet those politicians!"
...
The next day, Arthur and Jennifer Connelly left Hartford and arrived in New Haven, a port city in Connecticut. New Haven is located in the southern part of Connecticut, on the north shore of Long Island Sound.
"Is this where you went to Yale?"
New Haven was home to Yale University, where Jennifer Connelly spent two years before transferring to Stanford.
"Yeah," Jennifer Connelly said, linking arms with Arthur as they strolled through Yale. "I originally studied English literature; it was at Stanford that I switched to drama!"
"Your Italian and French are also fluent; that's impressive," Arthur smiled, noting that Yale had already started its semester.
...
As Arthur kept an eye on CBS on the East Coast, on the West Coast, Disney was celebrating its acquisition of Capital Cities/ABC!
Yet, despite Disney's celebration, internal issues remained unresolved, especially after Chairman Michael Eisner's acquisition of Capital Cities/ABC peaked in momentum. Dissatisfaction with newly onboarded President Michael Ovitz grew, as he was meeting with ABC's internal management without permission, extravagantly spending on parties, and proposing to sell the newspaper, among other things.
"9 million dollars? That's the settlement price you negotiated for Disney?" Michael Eisner glared at Michael Ovitz, questioning if he was negotiating a settlement for 9 million in his talks with Jeffrey Katzenberg?
"Eisner, Katzenberg's lawyer always offers 100 million; settling for 9 million is already a success," Michael Ovitz frowned.
Katzenberg's departure undeniably caused Disney financial damage!
"You know he's been poaching Disney animators by offering them double or even triple their salaries," Michael Ovitz explained straightforwardly.
"And your solution was to raise salaries? DreamWorks hasn't even produced a single animated film yet, and already it's increasing the production costs of every upcoming Disney animated film by millions!"
Michael Eisner regretted allowing Michael Ovitz to join Disney, as his agent-style business model seemed too superficial. Moreover, did Ovitz secretly meet with shareholders like Sid Bass behind his back?
"Forget it. With ABC merging into Disney, we now need to strengthen our control over ABC. You should find an experienced person to manage ABC," Michael Eisner thought about firing him but noted that dismissing Ovitz directly would be too costly.
Michael Ovitz nodded, realizing joining Disney had been a mistake; Eisner required a compliant assistant, not a president!
Ovitz remembered his old buddy Ronald Meyer, who just joined Universal, and knew that his situation was far better than his own.
