Asher was wearing that red nightgown, Zoa had thrown out of the window. He had opened the wine bottle and was pouring the wine into the glasses. He had set the table for dinner as well.
"Eww….. Does this man have some weird preferences? I shouldn't judge him like this. I need to be an open-minded person. It's his cottage after all. No doubt I have paid for this dress but let's think of it as a payment for this place."
"Everyone has their own priorities. Don't glare at him like this. Please keep a straight face like you always have in your business parties. Don't laugh. Please don't laugh at him for Godsake."
Zoa reminded herself and ignored Asher. Zoa took the bandages from the bag. She was going to wrap them around her injuries. Asher had already wrapped the bandages around his wounds.
"Let me help you.", Asher took the bandages from Zoa's hands.
"Sure!", Zoa handed him the bandages with pleasure because she was bad with handworks. She always had to struggle to tie the knots.
Asher carefully wrapped the bandages. "Thanks!", Zoa thanked Asher and tried to act normal. "Thanks? You are acting weird.", Asher complained.
"Me?"
"It would be best if you are impressed by my get-up.", Asher winked at her.
"I'm perfectly normal.", Zoa smiled at him.
"No, you have never thanked me even for once. Let me show you my secret talent.", Asher started to show his seductive dance.
"Are you trying to seduce me by wearing these provocative clothes?", Zoa asked him while laughing. She couldn't stop herself from laughing.
Asher was neither skinny nor muscular, but his biceps were naked, and his legs were bare as well. The curves of his body lining were visible as well.
"Finally, you have laughed genuinely.", Asher murmured.
"Huh?", Zoa couldn't hear him as she was busy scanning his body. "I need to stop thinking anything like this.", Zoa slapped her face threw the blanket on Asher, and wrapped him in the blanket. Zoa did this with the speed of light.
"What are you doing?", Asher asked. Zoa was on her knees and praying in front of Asher. He was tied inside the blanket with the ropes around the blanket. He couldn't understand where Zoa could always find such things.
"I'm praying for my sanity.", Zoa calmly responded.
"But I don't want you to be sane. Be insane with me. Let's explore a new world.", Asher suggested.
"No, I can't. I'm going to leave you tomorrow what is the point of creating unnecessary hindrance in my way.", Zoa refused him directly.
"Why hindrance? I can be your comfort.", Asher tried to convince her.
"I don't seek temporary comfort. I can't rest now. I must keep moving.", Zoa was eating the food and drinking the wine, Asher had prepared.
"I..", Asher wanted to say more but Zoa didn't hear him. She was busy eating.
"Do you also want something?", Zoa offered him to eat something.
"I'm fine. I wanted to eat something else. But you refused.", Asher said sadly.
Zoa's face turned red, but she pushed Asher to the ground and rested on the bed.
"If you feel uncomfortable then start to scream like an elephant and I will untie you.", Zoa instructed him before sleeping.
"Hey, but I don't know how does an elephant scream?", Asher spoke.
"Not my concern. Your nickname is elephant, not mine.", Zoa switched off the lamp and fell asleep. Asher was laying down on the wooden floor and had given up on freeing himself. He had only vision of Zoa's smiling face and her laughter's sound was still echoing in his mind like a lullaby.
Asher was lost in another world when he heard some noise. He opened his eyes, and it was sunlight falling on his face. Someone had opened the window and the door of the cottage.
He was still trapped in the blanket. But he couldn't see Zoa anywhere. He started to recall her name. The anxiety and nervousness were visible on his face.
"I'm here. What's wrong?", Zoa entered in the cottage through the main door and asked. She was holding the phone in her hands.
"I thought that you have left me alone.", Asher took a breath of relief.
"You thought that I would leave you alone there in this state. Don't worry. I'm not a bad person. I'll unite you.", Zoa came close to him to untie the ropes wrapped around the blanket.
"Untie?", Asher had totally forgotten about this. He was only worried about her. Zoa freed him. But Asher embraced her and said, "I can be your permanent source of comfort."
Zoa suggested, "Change your clothes first."
"You don't believe me. I know that. But give me a chance."
"Let me clear myself once more. I don't seek any comfort neither temporary nor permanent."
"You seek revenge. Am I right?", Asher asked her. Zoa's eyes widened at this question. She pushed Asher away and said, "Change your clothes."
"I can help you with anything. I can help you get your revenge as well.", Asher pleaded to her.
"Revenge?", Zoa got away from him. From the start, Zoa had no intention of taking revenge from her mother and fiancé. Because she had no interest in the business or anything. She had no feelings for those people as well.
Zoa had already planned to live in the house of the dead hitman and use his accounts. She had planned to start a new business and begin a new life.
There was no reason for her to take revenge on someone. When She didn't share any feelings with them. But the news Asher was going to share with her. May altered her mind forever and took her dream of a new comfortable life and left her comfortless for her whole life.
