Chapter 4
* A few days after*
(The Watchtower)
It had been a few days since the battle between the Hulk and Superman laid waste to large parts of Metropolis. While relief efforts were underway to help displaced civilians and rebuild the devastated city blocks, the rest of the Justice League was in their home base, The Watchtower
At Watchtower, the founding members convened an emergency session to discuss how to handle this crisis.
"Let's start the meeting," Batman said, his voice more intimidating than usual
His iconic gray and black bodysuit incorporates a cowl with pointed bat-like ears, white-slitted eyes, and a cape that gives him the look of a human bat. The suit has a raised bat symbol on the chest and a yellow utility belt, a square-jawed face, and sharp cheekbones visible beneath the cowl.
"but before that, my brooding friend'' Flash interrupted him
His scarlet bodysuit uses breathable heat and friction-resistant material and is emblazoned across the chest with a raised white lightning bolt circle. Yellow knee-high boots and gloves complete the iconic look along with his winged mask.
"What" Batman said, his voice now sounds it could kill a puppy
"Wow, calm down dude," Flash said hurriedly
"I just want to know where Superman is," Flash said with curiosity
Batman looks at him for a few seconds. Flash is now sweating a little bit now
"In Metropolis, helping the city and getting the civilians out of the rubble," Batman said
"Dumbass" Wonder Woman whispered
Wonder Woman is an extremely tall and beautiful woman, at 6'2" with a powerful, shapely athletic build. Her navy blue shorts extend to her knee-high red boots, while her red leather bodice gleams with an eagle symbol and accented by a golden accessory similar to a lasso across her chest. Long raven locks of hair cascade down her back.
The flash picked up her whisper
"I'm your dumbass," Flash said, in a joking tone
Wonder Woman scowled
"I would never go out with you" Wonder Woman said, not picking up the joking tone of his voice
Flash put his hand on his chest, acting like he is hurt
"Damn girl, breaking a man's heart like that is so cruel" with a little smirk on his face
Wonder Woman, now picked up upon the joked, giggled a little
"Can we stop acting like children" Batman said, his voice scaring Flash a tiny bit
"Sorry boss, just having a little fun is all" Flash said
Batman looked at him for a few seconds, then went to start the meeting
Batman pulls the footage of the fight between the Hulk and Superman
Batman reviews the footage of the Metropolis battle, eyes narrowing behind his cowl as he analyzes every moment
"Incredible...'' Green Lantern muttered
His green and black bodysuit has contrasting green gloves, boots, and pants with white lines. The instantly recognizable Green Lantern emblem blazes on his chest and shoulders.
"It is not incredible Hal, it is alarming" Batman said
"I know, but still this level of destruction is crazy" Green Lantern, known as Hal Jordan, said
"Exactly....alarming" Batman muttered
They watched the footage for a few seconds
"Notice how he baits Superman into overcommitting with his heat vision assault. The instant Superman has to let up, the beast seizes the opportunity for a devastating counterattack. He's not just a mindless brute...he's sizing up his enemy, adapting his fighting style." Aquaman said
"His name is the Hulk," Batman said
"Sorry, the Hulk" Aquaman said
Aquamna, at nearly 6'5" and over 300 lbs, with massive shoulders, powerful arms, and washboard abs. His orange and green scale-mail armor highlights his muscular physique, while his blonde hair falls to his shoulders framing chiseled features and penetrating blue eyes.
Batman and the team watch as the Hulk endures a flurry of punishing blows from Superman, only growing stronger with each landed hit
"The angrier he gets, the more powerful he becomes. His very rage is fueling his abilities to regenerate and increase his physical strength exponentially. Trying to overpower him head-on" Martian Manhunter said, able to infer emotions from visual and auditory cues
Martian Manhunter, 6,7 feet tall with an emerald green complexion. His glowing red eyes peer out from a bald, elongated head and he has lines reminiscent of high collars on his massive chest. Alien-like digits are tipped with talons.
Then they see the little girl who stopped the whole thing
"Brave" Wonder Woman said, a little proud for the girl
"How didn't she get injured by this whole thing? She was by far the closest to the battle?" Green Lantern, confusion in his tone
(plot armor)
"That I have no idea," an unknown person said, as he walked into the meeting
The team turned to see who it was
"Was good sups" Flash said
"That was a pretty good fight u had there," Green Lantern said
Superman Chuckled
"Yeah it was," Superman said
"I thought you were helping Metropolis with the damage," Batman said
"W-well, they didn't need me anymore," Superman said
Batman picked up the stutter in his voice
"What is it, Superman," Batman said
After a few seconds of silence
"After careful consideration for the past few days" Superman paused
"I want the Hulk to join the Justice League," Superman said, dropping a bomb on the rest of the team
"What" Batman said, his voice deeper and rougher than usual
