Imperfections of the tech book

Virtya had to do research and find out if what was depicted on the book of technology could really work or if it was just among the many rejected works of the amateur scientists who wanted to invent something different but in the process, they destroyed the overall function of the envisioned component which made their inventions useless.

"Damn this retardant! I fell for that bastard's stupid idea." Virtya's breath hastened. His chest moved inwards and outwards uncontrollably as he thought of a way out.

Clearly, this was also the design that Virtya gave to Catalina so that she could go through it and basically, this stupid idea was the one that king Brisbois had. But Virtya didn't even have the will to remember that he gave out this misleading information for Catalina to go through and that was why he wouldn't tell Catalina that what he gave her was a stupid idea.
