"Thank you for understanding," she said softly, squeezing his hand. "I promise I won't keep you waiting long."

Wald smiled, bringing her hand to his lips for a gentle kiss. "Take all the time you need. I can wait"

As the castle bustled to life around them, they reluctantly parted ways to begin their day. Madison threw herself into her duties, trying to keep her mind off the weight of Wald's unspoken question.
