Chapter 256: A Centenarian Tricking a Thirteen-Year-Old Witch

After asking Professor Flitwick for the password to the Headmaster's office, Andy took Hermione to the Headmaster's office.

"Cockroach Clusters!"

Walking through a rotating ascending staircase, Andy and Hermione came to a wooden door.

Thump-thump...

"Come in!"

Pushing open the wooden door, Andy glanced inside.

The Occlumency was operating at the same time.

Dumbledore was currently standing by the window looking out, hearing the sound of the door opening, Dumbledore looked back.

"It's Collins ... and Miss Granger."

Dumbledore walked behind his desk and sat down, "Have a seat! Would you like something to drink?"

"Thanks!"

Andy sat down across from Dumbledore and opened his mouth in a very self-conscious manner, "I'll have a glass of orange juice, and umm ... if there's a cake, that would be nice."

Hermione blankly glanced at Andy upon hearing this.

You just know how to eat!

Dumbledore knocked on the desk, and a glass of orange juice and a plate of cupcakes instantly appeared in front of Andy.

"How about you, Miss Granger?" Dumbledore asked.

"Uh ... just the same as Andy," Hermione said, a little embarrassed.

This guy, Andy, was too audacious.

This is Dumbledore!

The greatest wizard of the twentieth century.

And he's also our Headmaster!

Looking at the young witch's ferocious gaze, Andy winked playfully.

Originally, Andy did not want to get in deep contact with Dumbledore.

But after the night of Halloween, Andy suddenly changed his mind.

It had to be said that the Patronus Charm was really good magic.

It brought too many benefits to Andy.

After Andy and Hermione had filled their stomachs, Dumbledore slowly asked, "It seems that you two have something important to tell me?"

Hermione was already a bit impatient, and after hearing Dumbledore ask, she immediately told her and Andy's analysis in detail.

So Andy saw what is called confessing to leniency.

Are you really not afraid of Dumbledore selling you out!

Dumbledore listened patiently from beginning to end, and his expression did not show the slightest change.

Of course, Andy would not trust the old Headmaster's expression in the first place.

If Dumbledore's expression appeared to change, then if he wasn't lying to you, he must be teasing you.

"I have to say, Miss Granger, you are really a clever young witch." Dumbledore complimented.

Hermione looked shy, "Andy found it all, I just helped to analyse it."

Dumbledore gave Andy a teasing look and winked, "Of course, Mr. Collins is just as good."

Andy: That's enough of you!

A hundred-year-old man trying to fool a thirteen-year-old girl, is that even okay in your book?

Andy found out last year.

Dumbledore's methods were simply subtle.

When the old Headmaster tricks people, he'll make you do things completely in line with your own intentions. Things are right in front of you, you don't do it, it's fine, but your heart will definitely go over it.

Hermione hurriedly said, "Professor Dumbledore, Andy and I really have no choice, Hogwarts is now facing a huge crisis, what do you think we should do now?"

Andy looked at Dumbledore with a smile.

Good job, you are right to ask him so bluntly!

This was the only tactic Andy had to deal with Dumbledore.

Find a simple, kind, lovely, heart filled with a sense of justice ... In short, it is to find a young wizard with all of Dumbledore's favourite qualities and ask him directly and bluntly.

What should we do?

This is where Dumbledore falls off the edge!

What kind of man is Dumbledore?

Can he talk to a child about sacrifice? Can he talk to a child about choices? Can he tell a child, there's nothing I can do?

He can't!

The most he can tell you is that it's dangerous, I'll do something about it, you guys should just stay out of it.

But can an impulsive, curious young wizard, who is also brimming with a sense of justice and courage, would really leave it behind?

If you analyse the film "The Philosopher's Stone" carefully, you will see that this is how Dumbledore takes control of Harry Potter.

He laid out the clues in front of Harry, but all the professors told Harry that Snape couldn't possibly steal the Philosopher's Stone, yet they themselves acted like they didn't care.

So Harry recklessly went in on his own.

Andy was eager to see what Dumbledore would say this time.

"Indeed, as you said, Hogwarts is facing a great crisis. I've asked the ghosts to secretly investigate the young wizard's personal belongings, but nothing has been found until now."

Dumbledore said, "So I'm also wondering if we're overthinking this, and it was just some young wizard who attacked Justin and not a dark magic item left behind by Voldemort."

This...?

Hermione was also a little torn.

Was it really just her and Andy overthinking things?

"No…! Headmaster, I can already confirm it. The culprit behind Justin's attack was the dark magic item left behind by Voldemort."

Andy said, "I found some traces in the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets that someone had been in there. I think ... besides me, Voldemort should be the only one who knows how to get in."

Dumbledore gave Andy a surprised look, "Collins, you found the Slytherin chamber?"

Hermione said in a rush, "The entrance is in the abandoned girls' lavatory on the second floor of the castle."

Andy explained, "My grandfather, Norman Collins, was a few years younger than Tom Riddle and remembered him somewhat. The year he enrolled in school happened to be the same year Myrtle was killed."

"Not only that, but he and Mrs Bagshot are still neighbours, and I've often asked Mrs Bagshot for advice on a few things."

"She was a great historian of the magic world."

Dumbledore: "..."

Hearing the name Mrs. Bagshot, Dumbledore suddenly had a not-so-good feeling.

That old lady ... was also his childhood neighbour.

Even Grindelwald was also introduced to Dumbledore by Mrs. Bagshot.

The old lady knew a lot of black information about Dumbledore.

And Andy, this chaotic kid ...

Dumbledore looked at Andy, and Andy gave a smile.

I'm tired, let's destroy it!

Although Dumbledore did not mind having those things known, but, if the person who knew those things was his student, that feeling would be completely different.

It's just that right now was not the time to talk about those old things.

"So it seems that our previous guess was correct."

Dumbledore said slowly, "But Miss Granger is right, if we push too far, Voldemort will go completely mad."

"At least on the surface, we can't make too many moves."

Hermione had a distressed look on her face as well.

The current situation was critical, but they couldn't make a big deal out of it and investigate, everything had to be done secretly in the shadows.

This way the progress would be too slow.

And as long as Voldemort didn't make a move, it would be difficult for them to find too many clues. But once Voldemort made a move, it would cause casualties again.
