A Visit and an Emissary Mission

A day after creating the tanks, sending them to the Military District on the northern outskirts of Tempestus via the Ghosts, I was sitting in what I assumed to be the lounge room of our house. Boredom was taking root within my mind and heart as I listened to the soothing tunes of Enya on our TV. Shuna and Milim had taken off earlier this morning, leaving abruptly due to the increased duties that they now had with me not being in condition to fully take over yet; essentially they were concerned about my mental state.

Unbeknownst to them, locking me up at home with nothing to do was worsening my experience... Reminding me constantly that I could not see anymore. Shadows that resembled thoughts lingered in my mind, mainly pertaining to the moment in which I lost my sight for the foreseeable future. Tzeentch had no physical form that I could see, no anchor point to which I could comprehend, he was impervious to most likely all of my skills or magics. The main reason I'd survived that fight was due to the immense power that wielding several Demon Lords' magicules granted me, and the chaotic nature of the entity itself.

I shook my head out of those thoughts as the despair still lingered, demeaning, within my contemplations. Stray thoughts of comfort centering around still living did come through in benign pulses but they were quickly stifled by the discomforting lack of light within the sockets that housed my eyeballs. I was in a spiral and was eating myself up from the inside out... Psychologically. Something, I needed something to do...

Thoughts of manufacturing magical weapons and arms did enter my mind, but it would be a much more difficult ask given my circumstance. Given the complexity of Universal Rules here in this Multiverse and the existence of actual God-like beings, I could no longer just conjure up a magical item from my powers alone... Dedication would be required, materials, time, effort, sight, craftsmanship, there were so many requirements and among them were all five senses. Talking to Kaijin could allow me to spread more technology, this was true, but overwhelming the nation with too many changes at once would cause economic instability and possibly even chaos within Government laws. Thus, drip feeding of technology was best in this circumstance; unless it was for the Military.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*

Tapping at the door drew my attention away from my inner-self, dragging my previously befuddled mind to a clear state. Snapping my fingers I turned off the TV, the memory of what it looked like still in my mind free of charge. Straightening my posture, I pulled my head to the side and focused on the door, hearing the breathing and taps of feet on the front doorstep. There were multiple people, three in total. One was Rimuru; based upon the voice I could hear, the others were Shizu and Shion. Shizu was easy to tell as her voice was muffled below that same mask that she had refused to take off whilst out in public. Shion was easy because, well, she was Shion.

"Come in you three."

A gasp left Shion's mouth as the door opened, the door unlocking itself automatically with my permission granted to them; a handy mechanism I added for some ease before I was blinded. Herding into the room like a bunch of lost lambs the three eventually reached the same space that i was within, their heartbeats easy to distinguish amidst the relatively quiet home. All three of them were excited for some reason, their hearts pulsing with steady but deep thumps.

"You are excited? What is going on...?"

"Ehhh-ummm, well. We just got contacted by a lady called Allura Vysoren, an Archmagi of the Council of Taldorei. She apparently contacted us on behalf of a man named Vord who is one of the leaders of the city-state known as Vasselheim."

"Hmmm, intriguing. Why would they contact her and not just meet us directly?"

"That doesn't matter! What Rimuru is belabouring on is the fact that they requested to meet you specifically!"

My own heart rate increased now as a glimmer of light in this lightless void I'd been in shone brightly. I could still not see, but there was hope to escape this incessant boredom I had been succumbing to. To be honest talking with them would usually be very fucking boring, but given my circumstances, having someone to talk to who does not tread around me lightly or coddle me would be perfect.

"Firstly, Shion, please don't interrupt Rimuru again... I understand this is a private space, but in public and or in office, it would be very detrimental to how people see us as a nation. Secondly, I will be an emissary of sorts I suppose?"

I couldn't see Shion, but based upon the sound of cloth rubbing on cloth she was either being comforted by Shizu or squirming in embarrassment. This was fine either way however as it would still reinforce my message to her; she was lacking decorum. Now, I may seem like a stuck up bitch for saying this to the fun and energetic Shion, but...! This behaviour had started to spread into meetings in official capacity. Based upon Shuna's complaints the entire leadership was becoming too lax with the successful fleeing of our past world.

'A problem I will have to fix at some point.'

I waited for a response in my head but still heard nothing, loneliness pulsing for a second before being filled by the topic at hand.

"Yeah...?! I was gonna ask if you were up to doing it."

"Sure. I need to get out and stretch my legs a bit. Plus! I'll have to adapt to my situation at some stage."

"Great! Then I'll have-"

"You'll let me take Souei with me, as my aide, and I shall have total control over what deals are made and what occurs, got me...?"

"Yes Mam!!!"

His feet shuffled awkwardly as I heard faint sweat beads drip down along his body, his slime form getting eerily good at replicating Human physiology. I stayed stern for a few more seconds until I felt it long enough and sat back, sending technological commands to the kitchen in my house to start making Chocolate Thick-shakes.

"Awesome, well, why don't you all stay for a drink of Chocolate Milk and converse with me a little?"

I felt the air move along my face from their own movements, it seemed they had all looked at one another. A few murmurs which I could easily hear were spoken between them before I finally heard a response.

"Sure...!"

...

Half an hour passed quickly as they all had their thick-shakes, commenting several times how delicious the ice-cream was. We had mostly spoken on light topics surrounding Gobta and his shenanigans within the Military.

He had become a Sergeant quickly, totalling several hundred Angel Kills. He had grown proficient in shadow usage and was now immune to poisons and diseases; experience he learned from eating Shion's attempts at cooking. Shuna was trying to invest time into teaching her best friend how to cook, but she was constantly busy within the textile management department. I have plans to remove that department soon, replacing it with a private sector run industry... A move that I have been planning for many of the industries that we currently direct federally.

Power, Mining, Tree Harvesting, Water Production and Education would still reside within the Government's hands though. Each was extremely important to our people and nation's existence, thus it needed tour personal inspection and control. We were all trying to be Democratic as much as possible, but, at the end of the day our populous wanted us to lead and to rule so that they have a defence against the unknown.

Moving away from that however, Gobta, well, he was actually extremely successful. He has a girlfriend that was a cat girl and had since bought a house upon the floating island I had made. Apparently they were going to move in there once they were ready, according to Gobta himself. Bit optimistic, but who was I to comment? I literally met Shuna and Milim and then got with them extremely quickly... I had no grounds to speak against his intentions as they were exactly what I had done...

From there the topics mainly just turned to the recovery efforts and the list of casualties. Fortunately there were very few casualties and they were mainly caused by extreme PTSD; people sleeping in the bathtub with a toaster so to speak. The recovery of the city and Forest was almost complete actually, the Orcs being a monumental aid to the city as they didn't even request for a day off and simply went back to work to repair the nation's pride and joy. Geld was an absolute unit and was quickly gaining his confidence in leadership as Diablo and Souei gave him lessons.

Speaking of Souei, he had spent some time aiding Milim for me and I happened to learn that the new city that she was going to make was going to be called: Corona, after the Coronal Mass Ejections of suns in the sky. It was a choice that she made after listening to me blither on about what was happening in Marvel Infinity War, when Thor took the full force of a Neutron Star. Apparently the time she spent with me was really attaching to her, she couldn't stop thinking about the name supposedly, proclaiming that it was the best name and that it was only second to whatever I named. She was way too fucking cute sometimes... My biased opinion...

Soon my guests all left, leaving me alone to choose when I would start my task of traversing to Vasselheim and having discussions with Allura and this Vord figure. Souei quickly entered the room from nowhere, as usual, his presence intentionally being shared with me as his feet made a distinct tapping noise on the floor. He was way too kind of a man, really, a true softy.

"We will travel to Vasselheim immediately, lead me outside and I'll try making our vehicle to get there."

"Yes, Silviana-sama."

His arm hooked under my own and he slowly took me outside of my house, the locks automatically closing behind me as my magic signature leaving caused the magic circles to flare; they would unlock if Shuna or Milim were to come to the house.

We stopped abruptly after a few moments, his hand patting mine before sliding out from my hold and taking a step backwards. Allowing me to free my hands and caste whatever I needed to. He was truly a huge softy...

Much like with the creation of the tanks, I pulled the materials from the dirt below us. Iron, silver, carbon, crystal and Oil was moulded into a shape that I could vaguely feel with the magic. Like a circle of hardness that vibrated along my skin. Difficult though it was to explain, this quickly changed into a shape that was recognisable to my memories. A Range Rover, which I imagined to be pitch black with golden detailing.

"Souei, is the thing I made black with gold trimming?"

"Yeah...? Whatever it is..."

"This is a car. This is a vehicle that I'll teach you how to drive!"

"Whilst blind?"

I slapped backwards towards his voice, feeling nothing but air. With frustration, at the end of my slap, I projected a soft force outwards that made a thwacking sound. Grunts resulted and Souei's heart was pumping blood at a much faster rate now, way faster than a normal human's.

"Ughh, fine, teach me then..."

"Hehe, just because you are a Demon Lord now, don't think that you are exempt from backlash, little smartass."

He was silent now, the fun all but sucked out of the situation as he refused to quip back or talk more on the subject. With that being the case I held my arm out and pulled him towards where I could smell the 'new car smell'. From there I showed him how to open the doors, asking him to guide me around to different portions and showing him based off of my memory how they worked. Eventually we got driving and boy was he awesome at it. He narrated everything he was doing in real time to me and based off of his tone and the movements of the car, he had immediately nailed driving within the first 5 minutes. I even taught him about the indicators and the need for petrol and maintenance on it... He remembered it all and spoke it back verbatim... In fact, I could sense an immense sense of intrigue from him around this concept of 'cars'.

I may have made him into a car guy... Maybe... Possibly... Thus I confronted my future of making awesome cars for the both of us and potentially having to introduce road rules and upgrade all of the roads to have traffic lights.

'I just can't fucking help myself, can I?'
