For the rest of this day I decided to skip the shelter idea, moving towards something which I hadn't done yet. It was time to give the ring I had created a name. To do this I wanted to go back to my demi-plane, the street now empty of people as interest faded in the three idiots. Within moments however Milim appeared beside me, her expression quite teasing as she poked my sides a little.
"Hehe! That was fun to watch! Who were they?"
"Hey honey... They were just some annoyances from another country..."
"Want me to go wipe out their country!?" Her tone and mood was electric as her intentions were obvious, she was bored and wanted someone to take it out on. I didn't know how she survived outside of me and Rimuru being here but she was just a little bit crazy with how nonchalant she was about wiping an entire country out.
"No, don't worry, I'll handle it." Milim almost pouted at the lack of things to do but was quickly dragged out of it by me kissing her. She blushed a little and looked at me with a small grin rising on her face, as if she was expecting an 'encounter' very soon. I just shook my head and arched my finger, directing her to follow me. She wished for something not boring, thus, I would show her something special. Quickly we moved through the city until we were at the house. Shuna was drinking tea on the bedroom balcony as we approached, her figure beautifully calming as she sipped tea. Waving at her as we walked in I heard the clattering of tea cup against table as footsteps thudded down the stair that lead into our bedroom. Then, in a flurry of movement Shuna leapt at me, grasping me in a huge hug, as if I had been missing or away for a long time. Surprised by how she went from 1 to 100 in such flurry I caught her and fell backwards, both of us tangling ourselves on the floor.
One could consider this a 'opportune' moment to have some rather close 'action', but I had things to do and needed to immediately start preparing. Being as careful as I could, I slowly untangled myself, aiding Shuna in the same motion.
"Come, I have something cool to show you!" I put some energy into my voice because I did find it really cool and hoped they would too. Walking up the stairs my wives followed behind me, a conversation being had at small volume behind me as we entered into the bedroom. Waving my hand as we entered into the room the demi-plane opened, the tower filling a majority of the mirror-like surface of the portal. Flicking my hand back towards myself I drew the portal towards us and drew all of us into the space, my demi-plane in reality snapping back to its rune in an instant.
Standing amidst the training fields my wives looked around, as if the surprise would come from the demi-plane itself. Before they could complain when they found nothing new however I looked down at my new ring and started to mouth the words that were used in Lord of the Rings.
" One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them "
A massive influx of Magicules from outside of the Demi-plane broke through inside as cracks i the very space that constituted the very structure of the dimensional pocket realm. Flowing rivers of flame and sunlight seeped through the fabric of my demi-plane as shadow drained out of the entire house beyond this dimensional pocket realm. The rivers of fire themselves brought shadow and darkness in abundance alongside themselves as the very nature of the Magicules seemed to gain an ashy and volcanic feel. My eyes sparked in slight pain as the vague images of a massive 8-10 foot tall figure in completely obsidian armour smashing enemies replayed in my mind. At the same moment the imagery of an entity far beyond that being in power grinned in a malevolent frenzy of movement. My mind flickered as the images were replaced by a ginormous roiling gathering of pure darkness that desired to destroy the wheel it had been bound under. Hateful surges of emotions striking my consciousness constantly before pure flame consumed the dark images. A titan of pure flame and enormous proportions fighting gods beside other gods. A calamity that would end in the bloodshed of three quarters of the entire population of Exandria. Then the same figure that I had seen before, the man with dragons on his arms, staring directly into my eyes, his own becoming maddened and at the same time sympathetic.
"Madness comes for all of us. Do not court it, be its antithesis and become it... Only in this way could you overcome destiny." He was standing on a mountain as a wheel revolved around his head, black and white balanced in entirety. The image flickered as the man who had helped me not too long ago stood before me. His expression was graceful and calculating as his own eyes sparked in golden-green energy.
"You have done well to reach this stage. I still do not know who you are, for your form is still slowly piecing itself together within this space... Let me grant you a small gift for reaching such a stage with little to no knowledge of what is occurring..."
My vision snapped back to reality, the rivers of fire becoming golden-bronze in colouration as green appeared from every direction. The new ring on my right hand slinked off of my finger, levitating in mid-air as the atmosphere vibrated. Every Magicule morphed into something more, the very essence of them sprouting, as if a flower newly budded. An urge came over me, a need to shout a name for the ring to bind itself to, a true name to cement itself to my ownership and to gain the gift that the man had given.
"CHRONOS INFERNA!" Despite myself I yelled the name, the very words creating noticeable ripples in the air as the rivers of fire magicules and other elements pulsed before swirling. In the midst of their tumultuous flurry of movements the ring shed the outer layer of it's metallic skin, the entity from before emerging and crying out in ecstasy. All at once the rivers dove into the exposed ring's entity, the essence of its very power shifting to a new paradigm. In an instant the Magicule flow ceased, all of the power in the atmosphere gone as in the middle of the room floated a ring of pure eloquence. Made of pure gold and various gemstones of varying colours a large Ruby ring lay embedded on the forwards facing part of the ring, fire swirling like an inferno within. Golden aura oozed off of the jewellery as above it an entity of pure time and fire sat.
Its form was odd, its Dragon-like features mixing with that of a world serpent, Jormungandr. Its countenance was majestic, superbly so, swirling above the ring as if a halo adorning an angel. No massive presence was currently felt by me and no reaction was given from Shadow Star on my right hand. Extending my hand out I had the intention of grasping the ring to stow on my ring finger, a deliberate move considering the two women who had been watching all of this in stunned amazement. Trying to grasp it I soon found my hand phasing through it as the ring just emerged in corporeal form on my ring finger. My body pulsed with power as the World Serpent creature switched from orbiting the ring to now expanding and flying around my head like a true halo. Then, as if it was all mere illusion the dragon vanished in a golden-white flash. The ring sat on my finger comfortably, my powers seemingly unaffected as my MP was untouched.
'He payed the MP cost...'
I do not know of who you speak but whatever it was used a vast quantity of Magicules to imbue power into your ring. You could not have payed that price, Milim would have had to substitute the majority of the power for you to have succeeded in producing this.
'So that guy is super-mega powerful...?'
Yet again, I have no idea who you speak of but, whatever it was, was definitely surpassing most of the power level of this world and Multiverse.
'... Mmm'kay, we'll need to have a conversation about that last statement...'
Silence was the response as the ring sat like a shining star upon my hand, the entire hand showered in golden mist that slipped down into the air and dissipated into nothingness. It was almost like watching Fireworks fading out but close up. Milim stepped up to me and reached her hand out towards the ring. Unfortunately for her, the very existence of the ring repelled her, the golden mist propelling her backwards in a shockwave.
Interesting! This ring has a protective function against creatures and beings of a certain power level and above...
Milim immediately got back up and tried again, the magic in the ring stirring slightly before the World Serpent emerged, staring at Milim before gazing at me. Milim's hand touched me and the ring did nothing, the serpent smiling in a weird way before fading back into the ring.
"Honey! What was that!?" Milim darted around me as she checked every part of me, even going so far as to life up my dress to check. I shooed her away as Shuna looked at the ring and its placement, a lively blush flushing through her as she gazed at her own ring finger. Seeing this look I couldn't help but appreciate her beauty even more as I considered that getting them rings would be important, otherwise I am going to have to handle pissed off wives.
"I was naming my ring and received a gift from someone who had helped me understand my eyes." Gesturing to my eyes the both of them nodded, Milim coming closer to inspect them with her own special eyes. Not finding anything too crazy she just shrugged and looked down at the ring.
"I want one too..."
'Oh my fuc-'
Hahaha, good luck with that!
