Title - Initial Confrontation
…
"The Third Host…" Leucadius muttered to himself following Odin's initial statement. With a serious expression on his face, he stood up as his gaze shot through the City's atmosphere and into the Void where a group of Celestials were making their way to the Sol System.
"They're about to make a mess of Earth again…" Zeus spat in disgust before shooting a glance at Odin and the other Godkings. "I'll be taking my leave for now. This would have alerted the Gods of Olympus."
"Likewise." Odin said and turned to Leucadius. "You have the most involvement with the Humans. What will you do about this?"
To his question, Leucadius shrugged nonchalantly and said. "Nothing really. My time has gone now and my son and partner have the reins. Whatever they decide is my will."
Odin squinted his eyes at Leucadius before snorting and raising his Gungnir to the sky. "Heimdall!"
At the sound of his voice, several beams of rainbow coloured lights shot into Omnipotence City and quickly disappeared, and with its disappearance, so did all the Asgardians.
"He sure runs fast." Odin said in jest before giving a signal to Hermes who nodded and disappeared.
'A messenger of the Gods indeed.' Leucadius thought in admiration at the speed of the Messenger God before the appearance of a Golden Portal caught his attention.
"Yeshua?" He murmured to himself in confusion. 'Why does he look that way, and what's with those emotions?' Leucadius thought as his gaze towards Yeshua changed.
"Father." Yeshua greeted with a low bow to which Leucadius acknowledged. "There's trouble."
"Hmm. I'm pretty sure every powerful enough God felt the same way." Leucadius chuckled lightly and turned his attention back to the Void.
"Then what are we going to do? If we allow those beings to do as they wish, humanity will be doomed." Yeshua said worriedly only for Leucadius to flick his forehead.
"For the greatest teacher humanity has ever had, you can be quite dunce sometimes." Leucadius said and placed his hands behind his back. "You might not know this, but the protagonist of this Era is Humanity. Nothing will happen to them."
"..."
Seeing that he's left Yeshua speechless, Leucadius summoned a Portal that brought him straight to his Office room in the Ninth Heaven. Taking a good look around, he smiled and took a deep breath. "There's truly no place like home."
Meanwhile, Yeshua who'd been left speechless by Leucadius finally gathered his thoughts and let out a heavy sigh. "Father seems to have been influenced by those Cultivators…" he thought aloud before opening a Portal that took him to another part of the City.
Since Leucadius had said that there was no need to worry, he had no reason to do so, however, he still had the obligation of passing the information to the Angels and Hosts in Omnipotence City.
As for Aspect, he wasn't bothered. He was sure Aspect would've probably even sensed the Celestials' arrival before any of the Godkings did and must have taken the necessary precautions.
…
In the year 1000 AD, the skies above Earth bore witness to an unprecedented and awe-inspiring event that unfortunately will remain blotted out from their memories. Massive, otherworldly beings, The Celestials descended upon the planet once again.
This event marked the Third Host, a time when these cosmic giants would once again test and experiment upon humanity, judging the species' worthiness to continue.
For Fifty Years, the Planet Earth witnessed an unprecedented event. As they moved across the globe, Nations ceased their conflicts and any form of dispute was put on hold. For fifty years, the world was enveloped in an unnatural peace, enforced by the silent and observing presence of the Celestials.
It was unknown what happened during those fifty years…at least, to the sphere of Gods. For Fifty years, their connection to Earth was blocked out, Leucadius included.b
Leucadius however, wasn't bothered by this and went about his years as usual. He knew, or rather, Felt, that this was a revolutionary opportunity for humans.
And as he'd thought, during the years that followed, Earth witnessed several notable events and developments, though not quite akin to the industrial revolution.
In Europe, the Viking Age was in full swing despite the lack of Divine Intervention, leading to significant cultural exchanges and expansions. The Islamic Golden Age continued, fostering advancements in science, mathematics, and medicine.
The Byzantine Empire reached its height under Emperor Basil II. In China, the Song Dynasty was pioneering technological innovations, such as the use of gunpowder and advancements in printing. These developments collectively contributed to significant cultural and technological progress during this era.
Leucadius understood the worries of the Gods, after all, the Celestial didn't have any concept of time. They could just loiter about doing whatever they pleased with a single care in the Universe, however, the connection the various Divine realms had with Earth would grow weaker.
This had happened in the past and there were records of them in any great Library and convenient to anyone who bothered to know.
This was the reason why Leucadius was currently seated in a round table with a few Godkings. Odin, the All-Father of Asgard, saw the coming of the Celestials as a direct threat to the autonomy of the gods and their influence over humanity.
He knew that if these beings were allowed to continue their work unchecked, it could spell the end of the old ways and he didn't want that, and the one characteristic each and every God King had in common was Pride. Leucadius included.
Odin convened a council of the Sky-Gods, the most powerful deities from every corner of the Galaxy. And among those who answered the call were Zeus, Shiva, Brahma, and Vishnu, the triumvirate of the Hindu pantheon and Leucadius.
Leucadius wasn't really here because he felt that his pride was being hurt by the Celestials' unruly presence, he just felt the need to participate as he had a grudge against one of them - Nezzar.
To him, the Fucker that had the ability to Block a portion of his memories without his knowledge deserved a punch from him…at the very least.
"{Since he could do it once, he could do it again. Participating would just put you on the blacklist of the Celestials in the possibility that you all survive.}"
"You don't need to tell me that, Partner. I have a clear grasp on the power levels of this Universe…If I manage to land one attack in, I'll go on the defensive."
That was the short conversation Leucadius and Aspect had in his Mind-scape while listening to Odin go on about how to launch an attack.
…
The Gods gathered in front of a massive Celestial Ship that hovered above Earth, the tension was palpable as the air crackled with divine energy. The very heavens seemed to hold their breath in anticipation of the coming confrontation.
Odin, Zeus, Leucadius and the Hindu Trinity stood at the forefront with the other Godkings at the rear, their expressions grim and determined. They were about to challenge beings whose power dwarfed even their own, but they knew that they could not allow the Celestials to continue their experiments unchecked.
Arishem the Judge, the leader of the Third Host, stood as an unyielding monolith amidst the assembly of gods. His Robotic face and titanic stature made him an imposing figure.
Odin stepped forward, his spear Gungnir in hand, and addressed Arishem with the authority befitting the king of the gods.
"Arishem, Judge of the Celestials, we, the Sky-Fathers, demand that you cease your interference with the affairs of Earth and its inhabitants. Your presence disrupts the natural order, and we cannot allow this to continue."
Arishem's response was immediate and absolute. With a wave of his hand, he unleashed a burst of energy that sent shockwaves through the gods' ranks. The Major Gods stood firm, their divine auras flaring in defiance while also shielding the ones behind them.
At that moment, they all knew that they were outmatched, but they could not back down now. Leucadius shot a glance to the rear and with a snap he sent them all away.
"God Of Heaven! What's the meaning of this!?" Odin Roared at Leucadius in anger while the others also shot him questioning and accusatory gazes.
"What? Do you really think those guys would be able to help in this situation?" Leucadius nonchalantly asked and turned to Arishem. "They couldn't even withstand a casual flex made by that bastard…what do you think they can achieve here..?"
"..."
For the first time since the two parties clashed, one party finally felt interested while the other became interesting. The group of Gods finally felt the Celestial's gaze upon their existence and the world suddenly felt foreign.
Leucadius felt it too. He was familiar with that feeling for some reason but couldn't pin-point the exact reason. He felt it was akin to being stared at by A Fragment of the Universe itself.
It was a fleeting sensation.
"You must be the Anomaly in the Equation Nezzarr was referring to." Arishem spoke, his voice resounding through their very beings. "I see he wasn't that off…"
"..." Leucadius started with a slight frown on his face.
"Leave. I have no quarrel with you." Arishem said and the sensation immediately disappeared, signaling his lack of attention to the Gods.
Left for Leucadius, he would've turned and left, but considering the group with him, he could only sigh and look to the side where the Eternals floated in high-tech suspended contraption.
Seeing Thena in that state caused him to sigh in pity. He wasn't stupid enough to rashly bark out and attack just because his loved one was in a bad state.
He was realistic enough to know that except he had a Universe level strength, he couldn't really go against the will of the Eternals. This was considering the fact that a newborn Celestial is already that strong.
Leucadius turned to see Zeus and Odin exchanging harsh words with Arishem who didn't even look at them. Leucadius knew that even without this battle, the Celestials would soon depart after Arishem had judged them to be satisfactory enough to share the same Space as them.
However, Leucadius also wanted the battle to happen, not only because of the experience of battling a Celestial, but also for the Ban that would be given them.
Leucadius knew that as soon as that ban was made, they couldn't run rampant on Earth any longer. He wasn't bothered about it since this would only apply to Him, not Aspect.
