Chapter 190: Black Adam

[3rd POV]

"N-no! Wait, I didn't mean to!"

Jordan began waving his hands when Cortana looked at him.

"Stop whining and kill them all!"

A voice sounded coming from the ring, and the dark green energy took the form of a machine gun and began shooting at Cortana.

However, an Eighth Metal-made robot that was almost two meters tall fell on him.

Cortana controlled it and severed his hand and then thrust a blade into his chest.

In the next move, Cortana rushed in swiftly and decapitated him while freezing his face in a grimace of fear.

"Hmph, he was a decent vessel. I'll find another."

The ring said as it flew off the severed hand's finger but caught in a new barrier created by Zatanna.

"Let me go or you'll all regret it!"

"Ahh, I will become the strongest being your world has ever seen!"

Mazahs screamed, accompanied by a loud explosion as Zatanna's barrier struggled against a force more akin to a god than a human or metahuman.

A figure covered in lightning moved quickly toward Shinoa and Lena to kill them and take their powers.

However, Diana jumped in his path.

"Ah!"

A strong blow sent a shockwave through the city and shattered all the glass.

Wonder Woman formed a hole with her feet that was almost a hundred meters deep, but she took the blow with crossed arms and stayed strong.

"You, as one who sought chaos in the world, will find no mercy,"

Superman declared while hurling the barely breathing Ultraman's body downward.

"Let's take this villain down."

Kara clenched her fist when realizing that this Crime Syndicate could have taken over the world without them.

"My rage is too strong! My fury knows no bounds. I'll tear everyone apart!"

Mazahs exclaimed as a bright red ring appeared next to him from a crimson flash while slipping onto his finger.

"Damn, it's a Red Ring."

Zatanna exclaimed, still holding onto Volthoom's ring to prevent its escape.

"Ah, power overwhelms me. Your lives will fuel my strength!"

Mazahs got even faster and stronger.

He grabbed Superman by the neck and threw him down where his body cut through tens of kilometers of ground with lightning.

Then, Superman escaped and sent out red lasers that melted any rock in their way.

Their power made light work of the terrain, but he wisely decided to fly up to the surface where he had more allies.

He was right.

As soon as Mazahs emerged, Diana, Shinoa, the two Karas, Lena with several Defender Robots, Cortana, and Clark descended upon him.

It was like beating a baby but one strengthened by the Red Ring, but... he stood no chance facing almost the entire League alone.

"You bastard!"

Lena struck him right in the groin while the robots thrust their swords into his limbs, and Diana trapped him with her Lasso.

"That's for those blows."

"Right, take this scumbag down!"

Shinoa raised her hand wearily.

The ring shouted and worn by the now-dead Jordan and now trapped in Zatanna's barrier.

Suddenly, the ring seemed to be sucked somewhere, and in its place appeared... a cube.

Tony's voice sounded as he landed next to Zatanna.

The battle with the Spectre wasn't easy especially with Doctor Manhattan involved... but the League managed to finish off the Syndicate.

Cortana and I had already devised various plans, and she was prepared for this turn of events.

"How are you?"

Lena asked while approaching me.

I noticed a small cut on her cheek and quickly healed it.

"Thanks."

"I dealt with the Spectre... during the battle, we damaged a few star systems, but everything's fine now."

I shrugged when noticing two Speedsters running towards us.

 It was Flash and Johnny Quick both looking somewhat injured.

"Hmm, come here, show yourself."

I pointed at them and summoned Black Flash using the Black Ring bestowed upon me by Death.

He appeared in a burst of Speed Force and glanced at me as if trying to understand, "Why the hell did he summon me?"

"Take away the intruder using the Speed Force from another universe. You sense his death approaching, don't you?"

I instructed.

He didn't reply but swiftly ran towards the battling Speedsters and swiftly caught John Quick.

John Quick nearly panicked and began shouting when realizing who had grabbed him.

However, Black Flash ignored his cries or attempts to escape, accelerated even further, entered the Speed Force, and vanished with Quick.

"What the hell was that? Oh, I've never squeezed out every bit of speed like that before."

Flash said while stopping beside us.

"Did we handle it?"

 Clark asked when surveying everyone present.

"Yeah, you guys did great."

 I pulled the bodies of all the Syndicate members towards me and sealed them.

Ultraman, Mazasha, and Owlman were still alive, but the rest were dead.

Their bodies would be useful for research.

"It was a good fight."

Diana commented.

"But it would have been better without it."

Lena added.

"So, are we all here? By the way, Tony, when were you planning to tell me you had enough strength to fight that damn Spectre? I hope you didn't make any deals there."

Zatanna gave me a piercing look.

The Anti-Monitor destroyed someone from another universe, and that person used this to their advantage to summon evil alternate versions of heroes to us."

"So, do you think this is normal?"

I replied.

She nodded and closed her eyes to continue to meditate.

The world wasn't as peaceful as I wished.

Nevertheless, he had a megalomaniac desire to reshape the world to his liking and was willing to go to great lengths to achieve it.

Billy yelled stubbornly with fear. He didn't back down even though he was scared and stared into his eyes.

Adam had recently nearly killed a couple of civilians.

That's why Billy hadn't fled yet. He now realizes that Adam might start killing innocent people to get to him.

"Your power. Say those words and stand before me in your true form."

He commanded the teenager from a distance of ten meters while Billy stood on the rooftop of a building.

Billy hesitated.
