CHAPTER 71: "GIimmers Of Surprise".

For a moment, Annika was gazing through the window, inhaling the refreshing cool breeze that filtered through. She later discovered she was now feeling cold. She turned to see Alex at the sink, cleaning the plates. At first, she exclaimed,"Are my eyes deceiving me?" She then wiped her eyes,in disbelief, only to keep seeing what she saw. Excited about the view, she exclaimed, "Guess l need to spice the view up.Come in, Annika, you can do it,"she uttered. She then turned aside her hair and went towards Alex.

"By the way, l am really shocked, to see the most arrogant,shrewd CEO Of A Diamond Company cleaning plates," she said with excitement in her voice. "Anyways, let me see if the utensils are sparkling. You know what my mind says the untensils are just dimmed, especially when they are cleaned, by you".

Alex turned and exclaimed, lt's alright, you need full satisfication. Feel free to check," he uttered while rinsing his hands with running water. Then he wiped off, his hands with a cloth near a sink. When he finished, he exclaimed,"And by the way , as you see l am done".

Annika glanced at him filled with some suspicion. Alex exclaimed, "Oh fine, you are still unsatisfied despite my speech. Alright, then let me givee you a microscope. Wheree is it? or perhaps some glasses that would be fair enough, as you see clearly".

Annika folded her hands in suspicion and exclaimed, " Where would you find some glasses inside the kitchen? Are you crazy?"

Alex responded," That's why l said you need some eyeglasses. Can't you see the eye glasses onnthe top kitchen counter? "Oh let me go and get them for you". He headed towards the direction, took the glasses and went straight to her, putting them on her.

Annika turned towards the dish rack and saw the utensils actually shinning. She went closer and saw them spotless without a single speck of dirt. Feeling defeated, Annika exclaimed, " l would want a tissue".

Alex responded ,"Well it's fine then, let me go and get a tissue". Just as he was about to heard in another direction, Alex turned to face her, and exclaimed, "Uum tissues are not found here ". Rather, l may lend you a wiper". He signaled her, to take it, but Annika kept looking into his eyes. Alex took the glasses andvwiped them, then placed them back on her. He gave a wink, and Annika turned aside and took a bowl, putting the glasses on her nose for further display.

Alex then took the bowl and exclaimed, "Don't keep on creating your silly pranks or drama if you think you can fool me"

Annika twisted a finger while pointing at him and exclaimed,"l wasn't creating any drama of I was just checking".

Alex responded, "lf you keep on checking, time will just continue ticking, and it will not wait for you.Get that?And by the way, the glasses look perfect on you. I think you should wear them; you would look superb".

Annika exclaimed, "Ugh", and then left . Alex responded as she headed out,"Continue to wear them; you look superb"

Annika was no longer visible, and Alex exclaimed, "Wait, now she has gone, and l am here. Guess, l have to follow her back".
