"Is that a stake?" he asked, his voice a mix of amusement and horror as he stared at the sharp object pointed directly at his face.

"Glad you can recognize it, and I'm not afraid to use it, so don't you dare touch me," Bel retorted.

Davien let out an exhausted sigh. "Did you make it yourself? It looks like terrible craftsmanship if you ask me."

"I don't care what you think. Get away. Back off!" She pushed the stake even closer, but Davien didn't flinch.

"You should put that away, you could hurt yourself," he murmured softly, his eyes locked on hers. The red glowered in the candlelight. 

"The only one getting hurt here is you," she said, her eyes filled with fiery conviction. 

"What exactly do you think you can do with that?" he asked, condescendingly.

"Why don't you make a move and find out?" she taunted.
