"Why do you seem so flustered at home? Were you doing something you didn't want us to find out about?" Mrs. Su's gaze fell on Su Xiaoxiao, her brow furrowing as she sniffed the air.
Indeed, as a mother, she could tell with just a glance that Su Xiaoxiao had been up to something. Su Xiaoxiao blinked innocently and protested, "I wasn't doing anything. I just went to the kitchen to boil some water and fill the thermos."
Mrs. Su's expression twitched slightly as she recalled her own bout of diarrhea that morning, almost making her collapse. She was about to advise Xiaoxiao to avoid such tasks in the kitchen in the future but decided that it was just boiling water and not a big deal. She smiled and shook her head in amusement.
"Right, just boiling water. You look so guilty though," Mrs. Su said, half-amused and half-annoyed. She glanced at the time and then went to the kitchen.
