Mr. Anders paused for a while as he repeated the question in his head. Was it that obvious that he had questions to ask, or did he read his mind?

Seeing as Mr. Anders seemed to be stuck in his own head, Reaper retracted his gaze. He spun around, staring out the window again as silence filled the room.

Mr Anders quickly cleared his throat, realizing that he would lose the chance to speak again if he continued like that.

"I am sorry for that, Mr. Reaper. I…" he paused, thinking for the right words. "I was wondering why you are here? You don't look like someone who… who would like a place like this," he mustered the courage to ask.

Who would have thought that a person could actually have a conversation with Death?

"Companionship," Reaper replied, and Mr Anders thought he heard him wrong until he rephrased it. "I don't want to be alone," he turned and looked at the man.
