"How dare you talk to me like that? I'm your sister! We're supposed to stick together, but you've always treated me like I'm beneath you. You've never cared about anyone but yourself!"
"Enough!" Grace's voice rang out, sharp and commanding, cutting through Lisa's fake sobs. The force behind her words left Lisa momentarily speechless, her eyes wide with surprise.
"But almost immediately, she recovered and glared at Grace. What makes you think you can shut me up? Are you too ashamed to handle the fact that your little sister is doing better than you with Rufus?"
"Lisa! Don't provoke me," Grace warned in clipped tones.
The last thing she wanted was to hear Lisa continuously mention Rufus before her. She detested the name like dead stale meat. When will she get it into that her thick score that she doesn't want to hear that name on connection to her?
