With an excited look on his face, Yuta came out to the ground. Ready to take the first place. Just not sure whether he can do it without using his Hero Time.
He was wondering when the first round would start but that was when suddenly someone called him. He didn't react at the time as he wasn't even paying attention to what was going on around him. He was only interested in the upcoming race and nothing more.
"Yuta,"
"Yuta,"
"YUTA,"
"HUH, What!"
"Come here and give a speech." Midnight said with her normal sensual smile on her face. He on the other hand just blinked, trying to understand what going on. But that's when he remembered that in the anime Bakugo too had to give a small speech, bastard only said that he gonna win.
Pursing his lips he thought why he wasn't informed of this, but now when he thinks about it. Maybe someone did tell him and he just didn't pay attention. Most likely sleeping at that time.
Sighing he opened in mind's ChatGPT and generated a generic hero speech.
Going up to the platform, he took the mic and took a long breath before starting.
"Everyone has an image of a Hero in their heart. We all like Heros. But there are times when we must ask ourselves what kind of hero are we.
What is a Hero? The definition could vary a lot. From person to person.
Explaining what a hero is is hard because for everyone the image of a Hero is different.
But there exists a common trait among those people who were actually called as a hero by our civilization throughout history.
This one trait is not something we can learn in school. Either you are born with it or are taught this trait by life itself.
Its selflessness.
To endure pain for someone else willingly and not expecting anything in return.
We don't always need quirks to have a Hero in our lives. Some just need the courage to stand up against the atrocities to protect what they cherish or what they believe in life even when they know that they can't do anything.
There has been no bigger act of heroism in this world than selfless sacrifice.
So yes, you can be a Hero. But do you have what it takes to be a real hero?
I for once am not sure yet. But that is why I am here.
Until I find what I need to protect, someone for whom I can endure anything. I will keep forging ahead.
After all. That's what heroes do,"
Yuta wasn't sure what he was talking about. He was always bad at this kind of thing. And just like he thought not many people reacted at first.
Sometimes these complex thoughts are not for the general audience. But that's when he heard clapping.
This was none other than those Pro Heros who were in the stadium.
Yuta just smiled back, this few clapping was infectious and was followed by more clapping, saving our young hero's face.
Little did he know, that maybe most of the normal civilians didn't relate to his speech but almost all the Pro Hero did.
They exactly knew that power doesn't make a Hero. There are always times when their individual power is insignificant. There are times when even their combined might is insignificant.
But only those who can stand up against that kind of odd when knowing that their own death will might be completely pointless, they will mostly die for nothing. Maybe earning a few seconds of time for their comrades. Are the one who earns the tiles of hero.
Selfless Sacrifice.
"Exactly what the kid said." All Might mutter with a smile on his face. If Izuku has the heart of a hero then Yuta possess the soul. Countless retired Hero's at this time when they heard this line from Yuta smile, they are not sure what kind of Hero Yuta will be, they don't know how strong he is. But they do know that he truly understands the true essence of a hero.
And with that starts the Race.
.
.
.
Everyone after learning that it's gonna be a race was hyped and came to the starting line. Yut Yuta knowing the plot was thinking. Should he use Hero Time to leap ahead of others? He had both OFA and Sharingan. But then he won't be able to get the first place.
He can always go to the Izuku route as well. Pondering he decided that at first, he won't use his quirk. Only used it when he felt that he couldn't come first.
And soon the race itself started. It started with a bang.
Yuta just like many people whose quirks are not good for race ran uses his own physical strength.
Though he wasn't the fastest there was he was still faster than anyone who wasn't or couldn't use their quirk in this race.
He was fairing much better than Deku at this time. The Deku's physical condition might have improved in the last 10 months or so but Yuta was training and practising for the last 10 years. Making sure that every day he was training to survive in this crazy world with superpowers, where he himself had none.
So it's needless to say that he was much better.
As the entire class entered a tunnel, Yuta remembered that something happened there. He can't remember what exactly but he knew that something gonna happened in the tunnel.
So he was ready. There was two ways to handle this situation here.
One is to just lack behind at the start to see what gonna happen. His memory is not perfect to remember everything with accuracy.
And two well. Use his quirk...
