CHAPTER 24

"I need to get back home," she said after a short silence, "Dominic and I had a crazy fight after the men left and I don't want him to do anything"

"Like hurt himself?" Daniel asked and even when she did not want to admit it out loud that was the exact reason. He had a history of self-harm in the past and even if it had been ages since he had a relapse she still didn't want to take that chance.

"You ain't gonna shower first?" Rosie asked, "Or eat a little bit more? you did sleep for a while you know"

"How long are we talking?" Halo asked

Daniel looked down at his wristwatch, " A couple of minutes shy of 1 pm"

Halo's eyes went wide and she immediately shot to her feet. " I need to get back home. Has anyone heard from Dom?"

Rosie handed Halo her phone. "He called a lot while you were asleep but I wasn't sure if you wanted me to answer. I did text him with my phone to tell him that you're safe and sound at my crib"
