CHAPTER 7

Lima II came into view and as it stood large, tall, and incredible in all its glory King Jamal could not help but think back on the woman whom it was named after.

"Halima would have loved this" He mentioned off-handedly and sipped on a non-alcoholic wine that he had come to take a strong liking to.

"It is almost as beautiful as she was" Adnan replied. He was not taking anything, he was focused on sending E-mails to other business associates of theirs. King Jamal studied his nephew and wondered if the young man was never going to find a woman of his and settle down.

"You know, Halima and I were already married when I was your age"

"You say that all the time uncle"

"You cannot spend your entire life working for me. You are young Adnan, you should have a life of your own. Have you no plans to start a family?"

Adnan sighed and ran his hand through his silk curls, it was something that he had picked up from his uncle when he was stressed or had a lot of things on his mind.

"Uncle, you're my family. What else do I need?"

"A wife. If Allah permits maybe even children"

Adnan had every intention of starting his own family and giving his uncle children that he would dot on like he would his grandchildren but he had no intention of starting said family with the kind of girls that he met. Half of them only liked him because he was rich and handsome, the other half had no intention of being tied down by a man and children.

"Uncle, you know how it with girls these days."

"I was not referring to the internet models Adnan. I mean a real woman who is willing to create a home with you"

Adnan thought about his aunty and how she had created a haven for him as a young child. He never knew who his real mother was but she was the closest thing that he got to having a mother. Even as a child, he knew his uncle had struck gold with her and he wondered if he would ever get as lucky. She had been dead for more than a decade and he missed her every single day since then.

"It's not so easy to find a woman like Aunty Halima these days Uncle"

King Jamal laughed softly and smiled at the casino. "How long has it been since you searched?"

"Uncle, do we have to speak on this right now?" he sent one more mail and placed his phone into his pant pocket, "What's the rush? I'm still young aren't I?"

"Adnan, you are a thirty-three-year-old man. There is nothing young about you right now"

Adnan chuckled and shook his head. "You sound like an old woman desperate to have grandchildren"

King Jamal laughed. "I am an old man aren't I?"

"Uncle, you are hardly a day over fifty-seven. There is nothing old about you"

The car stopped in front of the casino alongside the other escort cars. Adnan looked out the window and adjusted his suit which cost an amount of money that would make most people highly uncomfortable.

King Jamal looked at his nephew with so much admiration. He and Halima had been unable to have children, all attempts ended in a hurtful miscarriage or a painful stillbirth but he was glad that he had Adnan. He was the closest thing to a child, he had taken him in when he lost his parents and had raised him as his own.

When Lima enterprises had begun to rake in millions and began to show signs of immortality, King Jamal had groomed Adnan into the type of heir that he would be comfortable leaving his empire to when he had gone to meet his wife on the other side. Adnan had proven time and time again to be the best choice that King Jamal made in respect to an heir.

He had shown fierce aggression when it came to making sure that the business was running smoothly, incredible intelligence, unmatched loyalty to his Uncle, and enough strength to climb the hierarchy of the pack. King Jamal believed that his nephew would make a great leader, a greater alpha and he could not be more proud.
