The game map was much smaller, as the developers couldn't have added too many empty places.

Even the cities were much smaller, as there was no need to add random houses, and only a few were enough to showcase that it's a city.

But now that things have turned into reality, the capital city alone is hundreds of times bigger than how big it was shown in the game map.

It has millions of people living in it, and the population is massive; there are so many new places that Jareth has never seen before in the game.

Every person has a unique backstory, and things are in insanely high detail.

The floating islands are obviously much bigger than Jareth remembers them to be.
