Chapter 143 - Five O'Clock Man

With Cheng Jia Ban's stunt doubles on board, that difficult stunt ended up being filmed without any danger.

The second climax sequence of the movie was an uncompromising action sequence where Lin Ming Yang, Jackie Chan and Kate teamed up to rescue the baby from the gangsters. This is also an action-packed sequence, but with the experience of the previous shoots, it was a lot easier to shoot this scene.

After infiltrating the gangster-controlled building, they split up into groups. Lin Mingyang and Kate are responsible for attracting and holding the attention of the gangsters on the periphery, while Jackie Chan once again plays the role of a lone hero, sneaking into the tiger's lair alone. This shooting Lin Mingyang show hand opportunity but, he and Kate's performance content is mainly involved in the chase, evasive gunfight, while Jackie Chan's performance is more on the action show. This arrangement was proposed by director Brian Levent, who believed that this could simultaneously satisfy the appreciation needs of viewers with different preferences.

The movie ends with a big explosion, a standard Hollywood comedy ending, where the gang is destroyed by the police, the children return to their parents, and Lin and Jackie are sent to prison, where Kate often brings her baby to visit them.

For more than a month before and after, Lin Mingyang basically stayed on the set every day, and by the time he went back to school it was already April. After Mark Zuckerberg left, the school hadn't arranged for anyone else to move into the H33 dormitory for the time being. In the crowded Kirkland dormitory, it was possible to have a single room. It was pure luck that Lin Mingyang was able to have this, but this alone had already made the Harvard students living around him envious.

The name Five O'Clock Man drew a scoff from Billy Olsen, but Lin Ming Yang felt as though he'd heard of this book somewhere before, and he could be sure that it definitely wasn't a book of gay literature.

"This is the debut novel of Indian author Chittan Bahat, and you know that this book was just published last year, and it's never been on any of the major traditional book lists, but Chittan Bahat's name is known by every college student in India." Greene Nutter majored in LGBTQ literature at Harvard, a subject that, while cold, always carried the title of literature, so Greene Nutter's literary appreciation was not low. He accidentally found this book in the library, and after flipping through it, he thought it was an interesting story.

Billy Olsen grabbed the book from Green Nutter, then turned to the first page and read it aloud.

"Before I really get into this book, let me tell you what genre it doesn't fall into. It is not a guidebook that teaches how to get through college. After reading only a short paragraph of the beginning, Billy Olsen had no patience to continue, "I think this book is ridiculous."

"Usually only an ignoramus like you would judge a book on the first page you turn!" Glynn Nutt returned nonchalantly.

"I think this beginning is interesting!" Lin Mingyang, however, showed a very different attitude from Billy Olsen, "Can you tell me about the general plot content of this book?"

"Rancho is the son of a gardener, handsome in appearance and overly intelligent, who poses as the owner's son to study engineering at a prestigious elite school. Rancho is outgoing, seeks freedom and creativity, and opposes studying for mere test scores, so he becomes a thorn in the side of the principal. Though the principal makes things difficult for him, they are calmly resolved by his wisdom."

"Rancho's two classmates in the same dormitory became diehards, these three teachers the principal's mouth of the idiots became the alternative in the school and formed a deep friendship, after graduating from college Rancho gave his degree to the master's son, while he himself disappeared without a trace, a number of years later his two friends began to look for him on the journey, just when everyone thought that he was in a poor and desperate somewhere. Billy Olsen hesitated and struggled for half a day before finally squirming and asking, "What do you think of me?"

When these words came out, Lin Mingyang and Green Nutt fainted collectively.
