Asher! Let's talk!"
Asher froze up, the small smile in his eyes left and he looked at Ravi cautiously. With his tray, he looked like a small cat at the edge of being abandoned.
Ravi patted his head, "Don't be anxious. I just to talk about Arlen."
"Okay."
Ravi waved his hand and the tray flew gently to the table along with his own plate. He halted the cooking process of the noodles, keeping them in static before tapping on the chair for him to sit down.
Asher sat down gingerly and looked at him.
Ravi cleared his throat, "Asher, listen to me. I know you don't like Arlen."
Asher avoided his eyes and played with his clothes.
"You and Sage should probably avoid any spy-related job in the future. You are not subtle at all."
Asher's lips twitched in a way that mirrored his and it made Ravi's heart pound faster. What was this feeling? It was a strange kind of joy.
