"In the first match, Hagane Kotetsu, Number One, will face Kamizuki Izumo, Number Two," Mutsuki announced the names of the first combatants.
Kamizuki Izumo and Hagane Kotetsu, upon hearing that they would face each other in the first round, couldn't help but sigh at the twists of fate. To think that the two brothers would clash in the very first battle.
"Kotetsu, I thought today would be the day for both of us to make a name for ourselves. Fate truly envies talents," Kamizuki Izumo sighed.
He hadn't expected his luck, or rather, misfortune, to be so bad, encountering his brother in the first round.
"Yeah," Hagane Kotetsu nodded in sorrow.
If they hadn't encountered each other, relying on their perfected Confusion Jutsu, perhaps they could have created a remarkable story by meeting in a decisive battle at the finale. Or so they dreamed...
"Izumo, the power of the perfected Confusion Jutsu is formidable. It might be better for us, brothers, to not use this technique in our match," suggested Hagane Kotetsu.
Kamizuki Izumo thought for a moment, then smiled and nodded, saying, "That's fine."
"Don't talk like ancient people here. Hurry up and enter the battlefield to prepare for the fight. Don't waste time," Anko said with exasperation.
Disregarding Anko, who didn't appreciate the formality, the two walked towards the open space for the battle, assuming their stances and preparing for combat.
"The battle begins!" Mutsuki shouted when he saw both were ready.
Upon hearing Mutsuki's signal, the two quickly rushed towards each other, engaging in close-quarters combat. However, with similar skill levels and having trained together for an extended period, they found themselves evenly matched, making it a difficult and evenly contested battle.
Hagane Kotetsu threw a right punch, and Kamizuki Izumo countered with a right punch. Hagane Kotetsu used an elbow strike, and Kamizuki Izumo responded with one as well. Despite exchanging blows for two minutes, neither could gain the upper hand.
"It's about time," thought Hagane Kotetsu.
"Although we are brothers, the ninja world is cruel. I will inherit Izumo's will and win the rest of the exam!" Hagane Kotetsu, with a sense of guilt, prepared to unleash the Confusion Jutsu.
"Kotetsu, I'm sorry, but I'm a ninja." Kamizuki Izumo quickly formed hand seals with a smiling face; he was about to use the Confusion Jutsu!
Are you kidding, how could he not use the Ninjutsu he had worked so hard to master? Agreeing with Kotetsu was just a way to deceive and distract him.
"YOU TRAITOR!" In an instant, Hagane Kotetsu withdrew the guilt in his heart. Kamizuki Izumo was even less honest than him!
With Kamizuki Izumo completing the hand seals, four female clones, wearing revealing clothes instantly appeared on the battlefield.
Even though Hagane Kotetsu had performed this Ninjutsu many times himself, he subconsciously slowed down his hand seal formation. His gaze unknowingly drifted towards the majestic and magnificent mountain peaks!
Not only Hagane Kotetsu, but even many onlooking students were captivated by the immense gravity, turning their eyes to those spectacular mountains.
Mutsuki was stunned for a second, thinking, 'Isn't this the Harem Jutsu developed by Naruto? Why is it appearing early?'
Kamizuki Izumo took advantage of the moment when Hagane Kotetsu was in a daze and delivered a flying kick, knocking Hagane Kotetsu down.
The attacked Hagane Kotetsu instantly regained consciousness, inwardly acknowledging the terror of this Ninjutsu. Even someone with his strong willpower fell victim to it.
Alert and conscious now, Hagane Kotetsu quickly created some distance, simultaneously forming hand seals to release his Ninjutsu.
With Kotetsu's Ninjutsu unleashed, four distinct but equally alluring female clones appeared on the battlefield.
Seeing the sudden appearance of the clones, Kamizuki Izumo's pursuit gradually slowed down, giving Hagane Kotetsu an opportunity to counterattack.
"These two idiots, how could these clones be effective? It seems like they are randomly modifying our confusion jutsu" Anko felt that Hagane Kotetsu and Kamizuki Izumo were making haphazard changes.
The battle on the open ground intensified, and the spectators were thoroughly entertained. In the end, Kamizuki Izumo slightly gained the upper hand, winning the victory in the first round.
"Izumo, this isn't your power; it's Ebisu's influence!" Hagane Kotetsu felt he didn't lose in strength but rather in hesitating due to guilt, failing to take the initiative!
"This Ninjutsu can be perfected; indeed, Elder Brother Ebisu's guidance is invaluable. Nevertheless, a win is a win. I will continue winning with your will, Kotetsu," Kamizuki Izumo said with a proud smile.
Meanwhile, the students in the audience, upon hearing the conversation between the two, began to discuss.
"Ebisu, isn't he the senpai who was the only one to advance last week? And he's the one leading the development of this kind of Ninjutsu?" Some students found it a bit unbelievable.
In the previous strength test, Ebisu was the only one to advance to Group A, gaining some recognition in Group C.
"That's him. I know him; he's in the same class as me, both in Class 4-6," one of Ebisu's classmates nodded and said.
"To be honest, this technique might be quite practical. Could he be a genius?" Someone earnestly analyzed.
Regardless, Ebisu had made a name for himself in Group C.
Unfortunately, Kamizuki Izumo's celebration was short-lived, as his opponent in the second round was Uzuki Yugao.
Uzuki Yugao didn't even spare a glance to the clones created by Kamizuki Izumo, but continued relentlessly pursuing him and quickly overpowering him. Kamizuki Izumo was not a match, and he soon suffered defeat.
"Damn, I almost forgot there were female students!" Kamizuki Izumo realized that the Confusion Jutsu still had its shortcomings.
"Izumo, this is the fate of betraying your brothers!" Hagane Kotetsu mocked loudly.
...
Meanwhile, Group A was also undergoing practical combat testing.
"Number One, Uchiha Shisui, against Number Two, Kurenai."
"The first match is with him..." Kurenai paused for a moment upon hearing her name.
She had only known Shisui for a little over ten days, but he had already left a profound impression on her. Defeating the senior members of the Group effortlessly and claiming the top spot in the strength test as a first-year student.
"Kurenai, just do your best," Asuma reassured her.
"Be cautious of his speed; he's very fast," Raido Namiashi reminded her.
The reason he lost last time was underestimating Shisui's speed.
Kurenai nodded, calming her emotions as she walked towards the open ground, her gaze determined.
"The battle begins!"
When Kurenai truly engaged in combat with Shisui, she understood why Raido Namiashi lost easily. In every aspect, including Taijutsu and Ninjutsu, she was suppressed, almost without the ability to fight back. She put forth her best effort just to respond to the attacks.
In the end, Kurenai couldn't withstand Shisui's assault and quickly lost the battle.
"Uchiha Shisui is the winner," Mutsuki announced the result of the fight.
Having assessed Kurenai's potential, he considered her to be quite good, falling into the A category. However, Kurenai's talent lay in Genjutsu, and dealing with the Naruto world's Genjutsu was somewhat awkward. Especially when considering the Sharingan's ability, there were basically no opponents.
"It's okay, Raido also lost to him. This guy is just too much of a genius," Asuma consoled in a timely manner.
Someone nearby, feeling a bit annoyed, gave Asuma a glare. Consoling someone in a way that stabs at the heart, huh?
"Number Seventeen, Uchiha Obito, against Number Eighteen, Might Guy."
