[Disciple Uchiha Shisui worked hard in academic assessments and achieved a perfect score, receiving rewards: Chakra +300, Ninjutsu Proficiency Scroll.]
[Disciple Might Guy worked hard in academic assessments and achieved an excellent score, receiving rewards: Chakra +250.]
[Disciple Uchiha Obito worked hard in academic assessments and achieved a good score, receiving rewards: Chakra +200.]
After settling the rewards for the final exams, Mutsuki's total Chakra once again experienced a small increase.
[Name: Mutsuki Yumi]
[Chakra: 12050]
"It seems that only achieving a double first place in both practical and written exams can earn the proficiency scroll reward," Mutsuki thought, looking at the system's three reward messages.
Except for Shisui, who couldn't be surpassed in his grade, both Guy and Obito rewards were slightly higher rewards than last time.
Last time, Guy and Obito both granted only 150 Chakra as a reward. This time, Guy granted an additional 100 Chakra, and Obito granted an additional 50 Chakra.
Guy and Obito have indeed made significant progress, not only in practical combat but also in theoretical scores, which have greatly improved and are now reaching over fifty.
Although the Ninjutsu Proficiency Scroll is a good thing, Mutsuki does not intend to have Guy and Obito invest too much time in theory to achieve a perfect score.
This is because their learning efficiency is really low.
Even with his frequent personalized teaching, Guy and Obito only scored just over fifty, while Anko could easily score a perfect hundred if she were to take the test without studying.
If Mutsuki wanted Guy and Obito to achieve a perfect score, he felt he would have to stop all their training, personally teach them every day, and make them study and do exercises constantly.
But this approach is not worthwhile; it's better to continue normal training, become stronger sooner, and allow Mutsuki to receive more rewards.
"Hehe, Yumi-sensei, about the rewards we mentioned earlier..." After lecturing the two slackers, Anko walked somewhat sheepishly to Mutsuki.
"You have the nerve to ask for rewards after regressing," Mutsuki said, tapping Anko's little head with two fingers.
"Come on, I ranked second in the practical exam. Shisui is just too overpowered, impossible to beat." Anko attempted to evade the issue.
"I mean, your theoretical performance declined; you scored two points lower than last time," Mutsuki pointed out the fact, as he remembered the grades of everyone in the class very clearly.
"Oh, it's all Kotetsu and Izumo's fault!" Anko wished she could go back and give each of those two slackers a punch. They actually teamed up to deceive her into thinking she didn't need to review.
"Take these and eat. But if you slip up again, no more." In the end, Mutsuki gave Anko the Dango she wanted the most.
He had bought them on his way to school, ensuring that every student in the class had a share.
"Yumi-sensei is the best!" Anko exclaimed, taking the Dango and immediately praising Mutsuki's greatness.
The atmosphere in Class 1-1 was still good. After receiving their completed papers, they stayed in the classroom, chatting until noon before finally leaving.
At noon, Mutsuki and the other senseis went to the stairwell classroom together to attend a meeting.
The Academy's senseis also had meetings, though not very often. This meeting primarily focused on summarizing the teaching work of the semester and announcing the list of outstanding teachers.
For Mutsuki, this meeting held little significance. Unlike regular ninja school senseis, he wasn't interested in outstanding teacher title or bonuses.
Unexpectedly, Lord Third appeared at this meeting. According to Chitani Isamu and Ueda Aya, this kind of meeting was typically led by the leader of the teacher's group.
"Lord Third-sama," Mutsuki respectfully greeted Lord Third.
Lord Third looked at Mutsuki and nodded with a smile.
As he wasn't very busy recently, Lord Third took a glance at the Class 1-1's results. looking turned out to be a surprise, as this time the exam scores for Class 1-1 were even better than last time.
The average theoretical score reached a remarkable 81 points, which was considered excellent in other classes. In other words, Class 1-1 achieved an average excellence in their results.
The average score for practical exams is 24 points, which is an exaggerated result since the normal class average is around 16 points.
Upon closer inspection, Lord Third found that Class 1-1 excelled mainly in ninja techniques, with no one in the entire class scoring below 8 points. Next in line were the scores in hand seals.
Mutsuki led such an outstanding class. Since Lord Third hadn't made an appearance in school meetings for a long time and considering the excellence of the class, Lord Third decided to visit.
Perhaps because of Lord Third's presence, the meeting proceeded quickly without any interruptions.
"Next, I will announce the list of outstanding teachers for this semester, starting with Mutsuki Yumi..."
Mutsuki's name was directly placed at the top.
"Yumi-sensei, it's indeed you," Ueda Aya quietly congratulated.
Although Mutsuki felt no internal fluctuations, he responded with a mild smile to the congratulations from colleagues.
"Chitani Isamu."
"I'm an outstanding teacher too!" Chitani Isamu expressed surprise and joy.
Chitani Isamu's students in the class took the top two positions in the grade, so he speculated that he might be recognized as an outstanding teacher. However, when he actually received the recognition, he felt pleasantly surprised.
This was the title of an outstanding teacher, and there were only four awarded each semester. Despite teaching for several years, this was his first time receiving such an honor.
"Damn, why didn't my students in the class suddenly show outstanding performance?" Kimura Sugito exclaimed in envy.
Mutsuki receiving the outstanding teacher award didn't make Kimura jealous because he thought it would be strange if Mutsuki didn't receive such recognition as an outstanding teacher.
However, Chitani Isamu was well aware of his own teaching abilities. The fact that he received the outstanding teacher award was entirely thanks to Guy and Uchiha Obito.
"It turns out that you complained about Guy and Uchiha Obito trailing behind. Yet, it's all thanks to them that you got this outstanding teacher award," Ueda Aya expressed her envy.
When Chitani Isamu took over Class 2 of the fourth year, everyone was consoling him, but the end of the semester unexpectedly brought about such a turnaround.
"I underestimated their true talents. It was my mistake," Chitani Isamu admitted that he had underestimated Guy and Obito.
"When the bonus comes in, I'll treat you all to drinks. Yumi-sensei, you must come; you played a part in this outstanding teacher award," Chitani Isamu said with a cheerful smile, considering how often Mutsuki had covered for him.
"If I have the time, I'll join," Mutsuki nodded with a smile.
"I want to commend Yumi-sensei here. The students in Class 1-1 achieved remarkable results under his guidance," Sarutobi Hiruzen began speaking.
Then, Sarutobi Hiruzen read out the various achievements of Mutsuki's class, expressing that everyone should learn from outstanding teachers like Mutsuki and contribute to cultivating the next generation for Konoha.
After being praised by Lord Third, Mutsuki could feel the gaze of all the sensei in the room turning towards him. Perhaps due to his positive image, he didn't encounter any malicious or envious glances; everyone seemed friendly.
"Mutsuki, you're doing great. Keep it up," Sarutobi Hiruzen encouraged with a pat on Mutsuki's shoulder after the meeting.
"Lord Third-sama, I'll do my best to continue guiding the students," Mutsuki reiterated his commitment in the principal's office.
After hearing that, Lord Third chuckled twice, appearing to be in a good mood.
The conclusion of the meeting marked the beginning of the holiday for Mutsuki and the other senseis.
Achieving the outstanding teacher award and receiving praise from Lord Third didn't affect Mutsuki's inner feelings. However, Mutsuki was a bit puzzled as Guy hadn't triggered any training missions in the past couple of days.
Trying to probe subtly, Mutsuki found out that Guy hadn't yet engaged in a battle with Kakashi, which eased Mutsuki's concerns.
Kakashi might be on a mission, and that's why Guy hadn't found him these past few days.
As the official holiday season began, Mutsuki shared his holiday training plan with his disciples.
