It was two hours later when Lu Qingyi stepped out of Wen Wanyu's room.

Xu Boyan and Boss Gu were playing chess, chatting intermittently, and two empty teacups sat on the table.

"What took you so long?"

Lu Qingyi had barely opened the door when Xu Boyan looked over. His lips were curled in a gentle smile.

"We were just talking."

Lu Qingyi closed the door and walked towards Xu Boyan.

"You two make yourselves at home, I'm going to check on her."

Boss Gu stood up quickly, his face full of smiles. After saying that, he strode off toward the small courtyard.

The "her" Boss Gu referred to, was self-explanatory.

"Boss Gu, we're off."

As Boss Gu reached the gate, Lu Qingyi halted him.

"Take care, come again."

Boss Gu nodded at Lu Qingyi.

He did not feel as warmly toward Lu Qingyi as Wen Wanyu because he had little contact with Ruan Qingyang and was not related to her. He naturally did not share the emotional attachment that Wen Wanyu had for her.
