"I'm fine."

Lu Jiahao's attitude wasn't particularly aloof, but it wasn't enthusiastic either. It was just plain.

Lu Nanfeng stared at Lu Jiahao, slightly puzzled. The last time Lu Jiahao saw Lu Qingyi, his attitude wasn't like this.

He seemed like an obsequious lackey before. Now it felt as if Lu Jiahao was not at all enthusiastic towards Lu Jiayue, why was that?

Was it a misconception, or what?

"I brought you something. I was too busy at the start of term and didn't have time to visit."

Lu Jiayue picked up a big bag and held it out to Lu Jiahao. Her smile was particularly gentle.

"Thank you."

Lu Jiahao didn't hesitate. He took the bag from Lu Jiayue and handed it to Lu Nanfeng and Cheng Hao.

His attitude wasn't enthusiastic, it even lacked joy. It was very cold.

Saying "thank you" wasn't necessary when seeing his sister. That only made things feel unfamiliar and distant.
