Now, Batman knows the fate of the Gotham Gang.
Mexican Gotham doesn't have that problem.
Everybody knows how awful Mexico is, and everyone knows how awful Gotham is; in Guadalajara, if you throw a punch every ten meters, you couldn't miss half of the drug lords and mobs. Isn't this a job for the Tathagata Palm?
The Gotham Gang is powerful, the local mob is not weak either, the remaining two factions are okay too, the ruling party has an army, but it's useless. The most shocking part of a revolution is that when 90% of the people in a country hope for something to succeed, all of these become paper tigers.
The land for growing poppies? Seized! Control train stations to transport drugs? Interrupted! People sent to guard drug warehouses? Raided! Bribing customs for smuggling? Confiscated! Corruption shield? All are ended!
Batman watches in astonishment as Bruce immediately starts playing the joyous game of whack-a-mole as soon as he took office. From his rhythm and strength, it's clear that he's been enduring these bastards for a long time.
This system is a large-scale crime organization killer. Even though occasionally there are fish that slip through the net, these people become rats in the gutter, not daring to show their heads, they could only secretly catch some tricks.
For example, in the past, Mexican drug lords would randomly select people on the street to kill. The police couldn't do anything about them. Actions like publicly executing people, openly recruiting drug producers or users, and occupying public transport on a large scale for drug shipment, were all done arrogantly just like they are the real masters of this country.
Now, even though it's impossible to ban all drug production in a short time, with Bruce's flurry of punches, most drug lords, and gangs are running for their lives. Anyone who can run will run. Even those who still dare to cultivate drugs and sell them can only do secret transactions, no longer able to enjoy the past glory of exporting their goods in the entire dock.
The essence of this is to reverse the erroneous social values, letting the public see that the illegal crime industry cannot support the country and it's not true that you can live a carefree life without paying a price by earning fast money through any means.
The core of Bruce's plan is two words —— fishing.
Is the Gotham Gang very capable? Then first throw out a big bait, lure them over with the irresistible condition of controlling the entire country.
Then take advantage of the struggle between gangs, quickly intensify social conflict, reach the extent where there is no method of reconciliation other than revolution. Then create a new sky with a great revolution in an instant.
The Gotham Gang lacks the acute sense to realize that huge waves are brewing from the bottom while they were winning consecutively. They never paid attention to the majority of the bottom class and thus, when the storm came, no one managed to escape.
Under the deliberate guidance of Bruce's team, the revolution broke out violently and quickly, leaving no time for the illegal crime industry to transfer assets. By the time the dust settles, most crime heads still had no idea what had happened. If they don't get hit hard, who else would?
The tricked Gotham Gang was in trouble. Their business had mainly moved here and overnight it was all confiscated by the revolutionary armed forces.
The angry Mexicans wouldn't care if you are a foreign gang or a local one. Bruce also clearly knows that these Gotham people are hopeless, there's no need to reform them. So the whole process can be described as getting revenge on enemies, and in not too long, not many are left.
This round, they tricked the dogs into getting killed.
While Batman was shocked at the series of operations of this excellent graduate, he couldn't help but feel some jealousy —— playing whack-a-mole is genuinely enjoyable, he has endured much longer than Bruce.
Even more shocking to Batman was seeing Damian, Little Bruce, and Spider Man in the newspaper.
The three of them getting together wasn't unusual. Gotham is like a funnel, people lacking abilities would fall endlessly, and the space at the bottom isn't actually big.
In simple terms, these three kids, after several rebirths, have landed in the worst neighborhoods and naturally ran into each other.
Damian and Little Bruce both possess strong detective abilities, and Spider Man is not from this era, so his language and behavior differ from other kids; they easily recognized each other.
Then it was fellow townsmen seeing each other, crying with teary eyes, but it wasn't for homesickness; they just looked at each other and found they were all living miserably.
Little Bruce is a rich young master whose parents had just died; he never steps out of the manor which is only filled with the rich, and he ended up falling right into the Sunset Overlord Shrimp pool.
Damian is slightly better. After all, he's from the Assassin's Union and knows scouts, burglary, and lockpicking, and his skills are not low.
But his mindset is wrong; he wanted to run before he could walk, and with his indomitable spirit, he wanted to compete with Batman and even tried to maintain the gang order.
After seeing the painful living conditions of the lower-class children, he was quite shocked. Confused and with bad luck, he also entered the vicious cycle.
Spider Man's situation is worse than theirs. Not only did he start from hell, but he also had the Joker by his side taking a personal revenge. Just resisting those mental contaminations had already exhausted all his strength.
Therefore, fairy tales did not happen. Spider Man died several times and kept encountering people who he wanted to save but couldn't. His mental and physical state were getting worse, and he also entered the death loop.
In this way, the three met at the bottom of the Gotham slum, they looked at each other, eyes filled with hot tears.
But having companions who can understand their situation is indeed much better than being alone and continually falling. Their remaining courage finally grew a little. The three gave each other support on the verge of survival in the slum, barely able to live on.
But the news in the newspaper threw them another curveball.
Although they did not recognize the child that Bruce had become now, Damian did recognize Diana and Clark from the same universe as Bruce.
While they are still at the bottom, scavenging for trash, doing odd jobs, Bruce completely turned around world affairs. No matter how you put it, this was simply unbelievable, right?
What came next caused a mix of emotions within them.
It was just an ordinary day, but Spider Man returned to their basement, seemingly downcast. Damian and Little Bruce looked up at him, and Spider Man said,
"The restaurant owner drove me away. I can't work there anymore."
"What happened? Did you break dishes or get caught stealing food?"
Spider Man immediately showed an embarrassed expression. Having lived with him for a while, Little Bruce could guess what he was thinking and so he clarified, "I dare say all the children working in the restaurant are there to steal food. This is not illegal ."
"But, stealing is not good. I was just...so hungry, I really…" Spider Man sighed deeply, and stated, "I was not fully conscious at the time and just wanted food. I only ate half of a leftover loaf of bread…"
Damian shook his head and said, "I can't believe there are people like you in the world who, even after starved for three days, could only steal half of a loaf of bread. In a way, you are even tougher than we are."
Spider Man shrugged and sat down next to them, stating, "However it is, I won't be able to go tomorrow. Our food supply can only last for two more days. What do we do now?"
"I'll keep watch for thieves tonight, and we can exchange some bread. Starting today, we each reduce our food intake by a third. This way, we can stretch it out for about three days. Then you and Bruce need to find work." Damian counted on his fingers.
The group discussed it for a while, and found no better solution. They decided to tighten their belts and hurry to find work.
However, not a few hours had passed when Damian returned with a serious expression on his face. The Spider Man, who was sorting out their food, quickly asked, "What happened? Did someone hurt you?"
Damian shook his head and said, "No, they rely on me. But the gang boss was caught. They are probably going to disband."
The other two looked at him in surprise. Little Bruce frowned deeply and said, "Caught? By whom? It would be more normal to state they were beaten to death."
"I don't know, it truly is odd." Damian sat down thoughtfully beside the table and said, "It seems that someone has been catching children on the streets lately. We might need to watch out so as not to get caught."
All three of them became tense, staying awake all night. Little Bruce originally intended to find work during the day, but seeing the deserted street, he didn't dare to go out.
But Damian, relying on his nimble skills and extensive experience, ventured out. However, the news he brought back was extremely bad. Many children in the vicinity had disappeared for unknown reasons, and the market where they used to find work was being demolished.
The trio really could not have expected, that their already rock-bottom life could sink further. The food they had stored was only enough for two days. If they didn't find a way to get more food, they would starve.
What was scarier was that one evening, their shabby underground base's door started banging.
Damian instantly rolled over and adopted a defensive stance. But two days without food weakened him, causing dizziness and nearly leading to him collapsing.
Spider Man, who was in the best physical condition among them, barely stood up cautiously, quietly moving to the door to take a peek. But at that moment, a rough voice came from outside the door.
"Anyone in there? Anyone?! Open up, we are from a child care facility. If anyone is inside, open up quickly!!!"
The three looked at each other, not believing a word of what he said. A child care facility? More like an organ trafficking organization, no?
Damian gestured, and Spider Man and Little Bruce took the stone slab that had been prepared earlier to block the door. The slab had been scavenged from a demolition site and fit perfectly on the doorknob.
The knocking from outside was continuous, accompanied by mutterings, "This is strange. I heard from the little boy that there are people living here. Are they trapped inside? Or have they fainted from hunger? ... Never mind, get the tools. Prepare to break the door down!"
"Bang! Bang bang bang!"
The fear inside the three, huddled in a corner, was indescribable. They had been killed by others before, but death was always terrifying, especially the unknown ones.
With a final "bang", the door finally got knocked open, and a group of oddly dressed individuals streamed in.
And so, Damian, Little Bruce and Spider Man, completely baffled, found bottled water and bread in their hands, were covered in thermal blankets, and under the escort of police and the media, were pushed into an ambulance.
