Suddenly, Loki recalled a bizarre incident he was told about from a parallel universe Loki - a story that circulated among them about the death of the Supreme Magician that spanned the entire cosmos.
Helen was surprised that Barry could dodge her attack. Sighing, she landed on the ground. A smug Doctor Strange told Barry in his mind, "See, I told you this little girl has no more moves. Asgardians get stronger with age. She's so young, how many tricks can she know?"
The next second, a shadow sped towards him at a speed that Barry couldn't dodge.
Then, what appeared in both Barry and Doctor Strange's line of sight was Helen's fist, as big as a sandbag.
"Bang!"
An uppercut sent Barry flying, followed by a mid-air roundhouse kick and another uppercut, then a downward elbow strike. By the time the dust cleared, Barry was lying just outside the field.
Helen shook her fist saying, "This thing still works best."
Loki in the stands shook his head and returned to his seat. No matter how weird Barry's demon god was, he would still have to get past Helen's divine power and her fist. Based on his long-term observations, Loki believed the latter was ten times more difficult than the former.
Helen knocked Barry down but didn't leave. She went over to him, knelt down beside him, and gazed deeply into Barry's eyes.
In an instant, the astonishing dark talent and inspiration she gained from Harley allowed her to see the source of Barry's power deep within his soul - a dark book of gods.
"Gotcha!"
So said Helen, but she made no move. She stood up, left Barry, made her way through the crowd in a not too exaggerated manner, jumped onto the podium, and whispered a few words into Loki's ear.
Loki raised an eyebrow, his face cold. He looked at Barry and asked, "Are you sure? You smell the same madness on him as the attackers?"
"Thanks to the keen sense of smell I recently gained from a crazy girl," Helen also looked at Barry as she said, "To be safe, we should let the original sniff him too. Trust me, no one in this universe understands madness better than Harley."
Helen's prediction quickly came true, but the professors didn't do anything against the rules, it's just that the opponent Harley drew really couldn't beat her, or rather, their morale wasn't strong enough as they had witnessed the crazy girl's combat style of attacking with all she had from the get-go. Most people didn't want to take the risk of their guts spilling out on the spot. If they fought timidly, focusing more on defense, they were naturally less likely to win.
So, Harley met Barry in the final round. As soon as they entered the arena, Harley snuffled like a hunting dog, baring her sharp teeth.
"So it was you!" Harley stared intently into Barry's eyes, but she wasn't talking to her companion, she was looking through that pair of eyes and seeing Doctor Strange in her mind.
"I can smell that stench!" Harley's voice rose in pitch, "It's you controlling students to attack others in the corridor and using madness to cover up their crimes... you damn heretic!"
"She sees me now, but she can't do anything about it." Doctor Strange chuckled lowly in Barry's mind, "I just threw out some bait randomly, hoping to fish out the Supreme Magician of this universe, but I didn't expect that even when this ridiculous school is in chaos, he still hasn't shown himself. He's really patient."
Watching the screen, Strange stood up abruptly. He couldn't hear Doctor Strange's words, but he could clearly see Harley's attitude. Their eyes glued on the screen, he said, "The puppeteer behind the scenes is not Nyarlathotep, but the demon god who is currently contracted with Barry?! Who's so bold?"
The murderous intent in his last few words had completely erupted, making the room's temperature drop by several degrees. At this point, Constantine finally realized that the title of Supreme Magician wasn't in name only, even though Strange wasn't able to use magic now. His aura made everyone aware that he once stood atop numerous powerful beings, ruling the cosmos.
"Who is it?" Strange's voice rang out simultaneously in the room and in Shiller's heart.
Shiller too was guessing the other party's identity. His mind was swirling with a few possible names – it could be an outsider. He knew that in a few minutes, the identity would likely come to light.
"That book..."
Offstage, a vague thought suddenly crossed Little Bruce's mind. Among the dark knowledge that recently filled his mind, it stood out. He realized this was a revelation from Nyarlathotep.
"You came here for a book?"
"Our knowledge... should not fall... destroy it..."
Harley, filled with hatred and madness, charged towards Barry with her knife, Barry on the other hand was too weak to resist or avoid her.
In the moment that Barry was stunned, his pupils became tinged with red, a cold expression of disdain and mockery surfaced on his face.
The professors atop the awards stage rose in unison, the Master of Holy Sword shouted, "Forceful control of the body is not allowed! Monster! Stand down!"
In the air, the phantasm of the Demon God sparked intense discussions, all the demon gods were speculating about which fool had committed a taboo. Many of them drooled in anticipation, knowing well that the members' gifts would soon be distributed.
Raising his hand, Barry concentrated a powerful energy which gradually manifested into the illusion of a book. Behind the screen, both Strange and Shiller exclaimed almost simultaneously, "The Book of Dark God!"
Simultaneously, Shiller added another name in his mind—Dr. Mad Strange, better known by the masses as "Dark Strange".
The moment the book appeared, Little Bruce flashed a cold smile, declaring, "You want to manipulate me? Pay the price first, the book is mine!"
A dagger engraved with runes sliced open Little Bruce's wrist. The blood struck out violently as indiscipherable incantations echoed continuously from his mouth, dizziness swept over the students present who were unable to comprehend what was happening.
Far away in New York, Wanda suddenly felt a chill creep up her spine, a terrifying chant she once heard in another universe echoed in her ears, releasing the power of the Scarlet.
Harley, on the playground of the Karmatige Magic Academy, felt the Chaotic Power fluctuating. The power within her was being drained, something she could not allow to happen.
"Give it back!"
"....Who are you?"
The next second, a red light ignited in the icy blue eyes of Harley. Wanda's questioning voice rang inside her head, "What's happening? I feel the coming of the stars!"
The ancient chant grew louder. Inspired by Wanda, Harley understood what Little Bruce was chanting.
" Ruler of time and space, unifier of all, the convergence of the magicians, artists, and thinkers' inspirations, the guardian of the ultimate gate, the key to the door. Past in you, present in you, future in you.
With the known doors, let us travel through the past and present, and all realms, let us return to where we belong.
The knowledge I possess is my power, the truth I comprehend grants me strength, my wisdom shall knock on the doors, let the gates open to me——"
Instantly, stars descended upon the sky over Karmatige.
One after another, bubbles-like whirlpools appeared only to break moments later, revealing the doors to numerous continuous time-space. An ancient existence in the depth of the stars glanced at the shocking wisdom from another universe.
Ultimately, it gave its approval and a gate opened.
The infinite suction from the gate drew the few people Little Bruce chose in his ritual to midair.
Just as they were about to be absorbed by the door, a heavy sigh was heard. A formidable existence from somewhere drove everyone out.
When OAA's attention fell on the gray whirlpool drawn on the paper in Harley's hand, the conveyed condemnation was clear. However, knowing his intentions, the gray mist quickly formed into several large characters.
"Don't throw them here with me! Go over there!"
A gray arrow then pointed towards a cosmic bubble in another universe.
The most distinctive feature of that cosmic bubble compared to others was the brightly lit text around it: "Shiller and other entities of Shiller are not allowed to enter."
