A light from the beginning of creation, so bright and pure that no darkness could veil it. The most noble and unsullied Primordial Light.
A six-winged angel descended in the glow, his bright, golden hair floating slightly, the pure light almost spilling out of his blue eyes. He wore a white robe, held an olive branch, and landed barefoot on the ground.
Gabriel froze on the spot, then quivered as he called out his name: "Lucifer Morningstar!"
And even Archangel Michael followed behind Lucifer. He wore silver armor, held a spear, and looked at Gabriel seriously, saying, "The new Archangel will be Lucifer Morningstar."
When all the angels landed on the ground, Michael spoke again: "Gabriel, what have you been doing in the Human World? Do you realize that the sins you've committed in these few short days exceed the total of Heaven's over tens of thousands of years? You even dared to make a newborn angel fall!"
Gabriel ignored him completely, his eyes fixed on Lucifer Morningstar standing at the forefront. Lucifer stood still until silence filled the palace before he spoke.
"Derelictions of duty and disrespect for responsibilities are sins of arrogance; pursuit of power and disregard for morality are sins of greed. In addition, there are wrath, lust, betrayal, deception, and slaughter…"
"Gabriel, I will judge all your sins with the authority granted to the Archangel by Yahweh…"
Gabriel stared at Lucifer's expressionless face, suddenly revealing an absurd smile. He gently shook his head, stepped back two paces, and let out a short gasp from his trachea. Then he looked up again at the ceiling and said,
"Lucifer... you're absurd! Did you think of yourself even for a second while judging my sins?"
Lucifer's voice was sacred, as if it came from a distant sanctuary: "But when I came back, what greeted me were tears of joy, flowers, and the Holy Spring. It was a reunion and happiness."
"God promised that all sins will never be imposed on me, no matter when I return, it will always be like this, just because I am Lucifer Morningstar."
Gabriel just stared at him blankly, looking at his appearance that was more sacred than any other angel. As he spoke these words, no one noticed the deep malice hidden beneath that sacred appearance, only he could see it.
Just because he is Lucifer Morningstar.
Gabriel slowly closed his eyes, standing there as if a myriad of years had passed, but it was only a few seconds.
Michael stepped forward and said, "Give me the sin in your hand, and I will guard it properly. As for you, Gabriel, you must accept the judgment, repent your sins, and when you return, you will still be pure, my brother."
Gabriel lowered his head and revealed a dry smile. He finally looked at Michael and said in a choking tone, "Pure? But I no longer want to be pure."
His Adam's apple moved up and down, and then he took a step back as a human would do, raised his hands, looked at Lucifer and said, "There's no need for you to banish me, I will fall from heaven myself, and I don't repent … never repent."
After he finished speaking, he took another step back. Michael, looking anxious, took a step forward and raised his voice, "No, you cannot fall from the gates of Heaven. Falling from the gates of Heaven will…"
Gabriel took another step back, stumbling into the glowing gate of Heaven. The other half of the sentence that Michael didn't have time to finish was, "An angel that falls from the gates of Heaven will no longer be an angel."
In the fast-falling glow, Gabriel gradually curled up his body; the wings that radiated a sacred light were gradually torn from his back, and the fresh blood that the angels didn't have began to gush from his wounds.
As Gabriel's expression of intense pain froze in the scene, an old man in the audience suddenly stood up, tightly clenching his fists.
The very instant the wings were completely torn from Gabriel's body, he used his last strength to grab the wings flying towards Heaven, turning them into a point of light and throwing them into the human world. In the last moment before he passed out, he said her
"I command you to bestow my glory and power upon a truly sanctified human, as my return gift, let him never fall…Amen."
Having duped Gabriel, Bruce found Red Robin in the valley of Greenwich, who had stabbed Cain but was injured himself.
And just as he was holding Red Robin and pressing on his abdominal wound, a meteor-like light flew from afar. Bruce looked up in surprise.
But the light moved too fast. Bruce had no time to dodge and was hit. He staggered back a few steps.
The next second, "Whoosh!" Giant sacred wings sprang from his back, and he floated in mid-air, illuminating the entire valley with sacred light.
Facing Red Robin's shocked expression, Bruce blurted out the words—
"Child, don't be afraid."
