Chapter 34 – Information Gathering.

After arriving at the Brown Boar town, we spend our time hunting and testing new stuff. 

GreyHunt tested some new type of guns you could buy from the equipment shop. Before the only real gun he could relay on was his rare rarity gun, the [Silent Revolver]. However, after getting revolver type guns from the shop, even I could tell he became way stronger after replacing his guns.

Honestly I doubt I would have won against him back then if he had a proper guns like those.

Next is Oron.

Oron finally manage to make [Basic Poison Magician] into [Standard Poison Magician], allowing him to use the skill book he got from before, the [Cursed Poison User].

If I'm being honest, this cursed poison user is quite good. It can both hinder the enemies or even deal good amount of damage and if we combine that with the poison magician, its very solid and good combo.

Oron seem very satisfied with the result.

Next is Shri.

Shri was already quite strong with her whip and her bite ant princess Ami, but now she even got stronger. Recently she manage to make her tamed monsters night owl and the lizard wolf evolve into Dark Night Owl and Serpent Wolf. Making the two evolved monster noticeable more power. Dark Night Owl has access to even more dark element skills while the serpent wolf will inflict annoying poison and slow whenever they bite the enemy.

The other 3 bite ants capitans didn't evolved, but that doesn't mean they are weak or anything.

As for me, I was testing out the blood necromancy.

Getting the blood necromancy was quite expensive, since it ended up costing me 100 points, but thanks to the title effect it didn't bothered me too much spending so many points.

Right now, I have only one skill from it called [Create: Lesser Blood Dead].

The lesser blood dead is a humanoid undead monster that has quiet skeleton looking appearance.

Their main weapons are their fangs and claws. They are quiet sharp, allowing them deal a lot of damage with them.

These guys are quite tough and even can deal some damage, on top of that they have skill that grants them lifesteal effect, meaning that they can survivor for some time while fighting nonstop.

Overall, they are very good, but as the trade off their necro mastery cost is noticeable higher than lesser skeleton servant, but I say it's worth it.

Simple put, we are growing quite strong at nice pace.

However not all things are going well.

A day after we arrived at the Brown Boar town, new players began showing up.

The next day was the same and even more people showed the day after.

People are catching up to us faster than we predicted. Well, it is particle our fault. We stayed bit longer in the starting city because of the quest we were doing, even after getting to the level 60. Well, we did a lot of good stuff from this, so it was worth it big time, even if that meant having our advantage time over the other players be shorter.

Pretty much for the entire week we focused on leveling up as much as possible, allowing us to get to the level 78, all thanks to our upgrades. Even though the number of the players were increasing each day, it didn't bothered us much since we just outrun them before they could catch on to us and bother us while hunting or doing quest, so we somehow manage without much problem.

For the entire week nothing interesting happened.

WELL NOT EXTACTLY.

While walking around one day, I noticed the shop owner that was usually really nice to us, acting very unfriendly to the demonoid player. It wasn't just that. It happened multiple different times with different demonoid players being not in good terms with the townsfolk.

The people didn't mind at all showing their hostility towards the demonoids, some people even began covering their heads and eyes because of that.

Honesty, it got very curios. We already did known before coming here that the demonoid are not liked here very much, since Amaran situation.

But why are the demonoids are hated in the first place?

I asked some people around and this is what I found.

Apparently around 500 years ago, a war broke out between the kingdom of the Adernul kingdom and the neighbor kingdom ruled by the demon lord.

At first the country was suffering heavy damage, by the hands of the demon lord army. The demon king army consisted about around a half of the demonoids and the rest were monsters. Apparently one of the highest race population in that kingdom were demonoids.

The Adernul kingdom tried their best, but they weren't able to resist the demon army completely. They were losing.

More and more of their lands were slowly being taken over by the demonic kingdom and anybody who would survived were turned into the slave.

The army of the demonoids and monsters were cruel and merciless, making the people both fear them and hate them.

Plunder, murder, setting fires and all other stuff. The amount of cruelty that the people suffered at their hands were unimaginable.

Making the Adernul kingdom suffer a huge amount of damage because of them.

Honestly the country was on the losing side and it was just matter of time before the entire kingdom get swallowed whole, but suddenly out of nowhere, a rebellion was taking place demon lord kingdom and attacked the demon lord and his army while they were busy with fighting Adernul kingdom, dealing a massive blow to them.

In the end the rebels as well as the Adernul kingdom joined forces and turned the situation around. The current demon lord of that country was defeated and replaced by the rebel leader, becoming a new demon lord and the ruler of the country.

As the sign of good will, the new demonic kingdom gave back the territory they conquered to the Adernul kingdom and even release all the slaves that were captured by them and even managed to sign a non-aggression pact between them.

But that did not changed the fact that the Adernul kingdom despised the demonic kingdom for what they done, even after the ruler got replaced and even got saved by the people of the demonic country thanks to their rebellion.

The damage was already done, leaving a deep scar. A deep hatred was left behind after the war towards the demonoids and monster. Pretty much because of how much damage and inhuman suffering they did, they ended up creating a big hatreat towards demonoid in the kingdom. The demonoids were seen as the enemies in the eyes of the many, even the demonoids that lived in Adernul kingdom before the war even broken out in the first place.

Pretty much after everything that happened to the people that experience this much suffering, ended up despising the demonoids race as the whole. They didn't just hated the demonoids from the demonic kingdom, they hated the whole race instead.

However, even though that the demon king army consisted of the demonoids , that doesn't mean that all demonoids are parts of the demon lord army. For example, the Umuri Kingdom we were in before had a lot of demonoids living in it and nobody was disrespectful to them just because they were demonoid, everything was fine. I didn't heard anything on the net as well about any situation like this happening before.

Honestly, I began looking bit more into this and see the current situation among the townsfolk and how they see demonoids.

I asked one of the townsfolk that didn't mind the demonoids and said that she know not entire demonoid race are part of the demon lord army. People knew. She and some people don't mind at all demonoids, but some were scared and had no choice but to be hostiles to the demonoids.

"When I was still young, I was friend with a demonoid that lived in the village nearby. We used to hang out with each other, we were friends and even their village and our town were on very good terms with each other. However one day a group of the knights alongside the prince Arnold Adernul passed though our village and headed to the demonoid village." – said the townsfolk.

"The next day my friend that usually meet up with me didn't come. The other villages also got bit worried and we went to see what happened. After we got to the village, it was completely destroyed. Everybody was dead and everything was burned down. The knights said that it was doing of the monsters, but everybody knew that was not it. Pretty much before anybody realize the news spread all around the country and everybody knew about the indent in the country. Not only the demonoids were killed, but members of the other races that lived in there. Everybody knew that those people were innocent yet they were killed."

"They were just killed because they lived together with demonoids in peace."

"On top of all that, the prince Arnold Adernul is now the king of the country, people feared what would happened if they even gave a bread to the demonoid, so if somebody were to even show even little remorse to the demonoids, the they would end up the target as well. Some people that didn't minded the demonoids now are openly being hostile to them, because they don't want to become the target. They feared the king would punish them. They were scared."

"So, people are forced to put on the act if they want to live a normal life huh? Even if they don't hate the demonoids." – said ClownFrog.

"Yea. They were scared. Some people that even tried helping demonoid that lived in country were left with no choice but turn their backs to them because they feared the king." -said the villager.

"…."

"Tch."

(So, the bastard prince is now the king huh? Well, we were planning on taking destroying this place in the first place, so our goal doesn't change.) – though ClownFrog.

(However now we need to watch out for that guy since he is king now. We already know he have sadistic personally and is a total trash. We don't know what will studently come across that guy head out of the blue.)

(Anyway, how in the bloody hell a guy like him become a king?)

(Maybe it will be a good thing that we are planning to deal with this kingdom and all.)

(Anyway, from the notes I took from the Amaran, I know that the battle between the Adernul kingdom and the Umil kingdom took place around 300 years ago, around 200 years after the previous war between them and the demon king kingdom. By any chance the reason why the king of the Adernul kingdom at that time wanted the power of the Arrianhi Umil was because he wanted to declare a war at the demonic kingdom?)

(That would explain some things. I guess they wanted to use her power and broke the non-aggression pact to attack the demonic country. They wanted revenge.)

(Well, their plan obviously didn't worked out and instead they almost got themselves destroyed and were forced to use a special weapon against the queen before they got completely fucked.)

(However, it would be better if we would be able to ask some question regarding that from the queen when we resurrect her. Informations in this world are extremely valuable and useful. Pretty much everybody know that by now and there were even cases among the players where they sell information for money or items.)

After worlds I continue gathering informations, in hopes of getting anything related to the previous territory of the Umil kingdom, but I couldn't find anything. Apparently its located quiet far away from our current location.

One of the villagers told me that it would be good idea to visit the city or maybe better a capital city in order to maybe get some informations.

Honestly, it would be good idea to go the capital, since there definitely would be some informations that can help us, but the problem is the capital city is quiet far away from our current location as well.

Fuck me, I really want some form of transport or something, maybe a teleport gate thing or something?

Anyway, there is also the fact that we have 0 information about the situation in the dessert, what kind of creatures and monster live there, what is their average level and other things.

By the look of things completing the Amaran will take VERY FREAKING LONG.

"And that is the situation." – said ClownFrog.

The party meet up in the forest after being called over by the ClownFrog.

"What the fuck people were thinking? If they knew he was a psycho, why the fuck they made him a king?" – said Shri.

"Yea…. I think people of this country are not very smart." – said Oron.

"…"

"…Wait, did she tell you why there was a war between the demonic kingdom and the Adernul kingdom?" – asked Oron.

"Apparently the demon lord of that country was known for being greedy idiot that wanted to conquer more and more lands because of his greed." – said ClownFrog.

"Oh. I though maybe the reason why the war broken out was because of the Adernul kingdom. Since well…. They already tried picking on somebody more powerful than them and almost getting crushed. So, I wouldn't be surprised if the Adernul kingdom was one who started it." – said Oron.

"…. Yea, I can kind of see that." – said ClownFrog and Shri.

"Well, this country has yet to fall. True, some people don't like or trust the king, but this country still stands. So, there is a chance this guy isn't a total pshycho, since he didn't destroyed the country himself." – said GreyHunt.

"So by the look of things we are not dealing with total idiots, since they are able to run the country without any big problems? We have to be careful of that, since our opponents are not some mindless monsters." – said Oron.

"So, what do we do? Should we aim to restore the queen as fast as possible?" – asked Shri.

"No. We are lacking too much information and we still don't know what we would be dealing with when we would be traveling. What if we run into monster high enough level to just kill us all by itself?" – said ClownFrog.

"I'm against it. It is too risky in more than one way."

"True. We also need to make sure our levels are quite high, since sooner or later we would end up fighting the people of this kingdom. We don't even know how strong they are or anything, we only fought farmers and some village guards as well as hunters, we didn't fought any real soldiers or anything. On top of that, we are lacking in a lot of information like said before. We need to get to the capital and extract as much information as possible when we get there." – said GreyHunt.

"….So our first goal is the capital city then." – said ClownFrog.

"…."

"…. Wow. We have a lot of work to do huh?" – said Shri.

"Yeb." – replied everybody.
