The answer to my eyes

"Now, you shall leave, Lillian," Magnus stated. He wished to take a rest for some time.

However, Lillian refused to leave as she wanted to know what was in her brother's heart. "Brother, but she's a human and will die after a while. You should marry a vampire instead," she opined.

"Tobias, send Lillian out. I may lose my temper if she stays here for another minute," Magnus instructed. He stood up and thought to go to his bedroom.

"Then, can I go and see your bride?" Lillian asked. "Since she wears the blindfold, then I am sure I'll be safe," she stated.

"Lily, meet her tomorrow. Don't disturb any of us," Magnus stated.

Lillian stomped her heel on the floor and then, without saying anything, she left Magnus's side.

"Your Highness shall talk sweetly with his sister," Tobias said. "Princess Lillian was so eager to see Miss Alora. Once your elder brothers find out, they will also show interest in meeting Miss Alora today," he added.

"Lillian will bully my Alora. Do you think I'm not aware of her nature? And unlike me, Alora will forgive Lillian and let Lillian trouble her. I cannot tolerate that. About my brothers, I don't think they would be interested in seeing my woman," Magnus said and turned to go to his bedchamber. Last night, he didn't take a good rest and now he wanted a quick nap to feel rejuvenated.

As Magnus entered the bedchamber, he found it hadn't changed much. Everything was placed at the places, where he kept them earlier. He then headed to the bed and lay on it. As he closed his eyes, he fell into a deep slumber.

On the other side, Lillian decided to go and meet Alora. She knew Magnus would never punish her since she was the youngest among the four. She got into the carriage and the chauffeur drove it out of the palace.

Norman bowed to King Esmond and Queen Margaret before taking his seat.

"Prince Magnus told us that he wished to marry your daughter, Alora Wilson. What's going on? How did Alora meet the prince?" Esmond inquired.

"Your Majesty, I sent my daughter to Elmswood to spend a few days in the old residence. However, on her way, the caravan got attacked and Prince Magnus was the one, who rescued my daughter," Norman briefed the King. He now feared that they might refuse the marriage. But to his surprise, they didn't.

"Does Alora have to wear the blindfold all the time?" Margaret asked.

"Yes, Your Majesty. Since Prince Magnus said he liked my daughter and wished to marry her, I couldn't refuse it," Norman asserted.

Margaret glanced at Esmond, pondering they should have pressed on Magnus to not marry Alora.

"Alora has always been careful with the blindfold, Your Majesty. She hardly removes it and because she grew up with it, she is kind of used to it," Norman opined. From his side, Norman wanted to assure the royalty that Alora wasn't a threat at all. He was scared of Magnus more than anyone.

"Alright. Prince Magnus and Alora will live in separate residence within the palace," Esmond stated, looking at his wife. Going against Magnus's wish meant losing their son forever. However, he decided to find out why his son could look at Alora without being affected.

Venus threw the flower pot angrily on the floor and screamed. She was never being insulted by anyone. But Magnus made her feel worthless and even humiliated her.

Madam Aubrey asked her granddaughter to calm down.

"How? Did Grandma not see how the Prince made me get on my knees? My marriage was supposed to happen, but what did my sister do? Alora destroyed my day and came here, Grandma," Venus blurted out and furiously settled on the chaise.

"Will you lower your voice?" Madam Aubrey scolded Venus. "Alora is here only for a day and then, she will leave our lives forever," she proclaimed.

Venus took deep breaths and clenched her fists tightly. "Why didn't the werewolf attack her? She has always been a burden to all of us," Venus proclaimed.

Alora, who was present outside her sister's room ended up hearing all those things.

'Why does she hate me?' Alora thought and pulled her hand back. She didn't wish to go into her sister's room anymore since Venus would definitely feel agitated to see her. As she turned around, Rhea held her arm.

"What are you doing here? I told you to stay in the room," Rhea said and took Alora back to her room.

"Here, I cooked your favorite rice pudding for you," Rhea said as she took a spoonful of it from the silver bowl.

Alora enjoyed it thoroughly and finished it soon. Rhea placed the bowl on the tray and then held Alora's hands in hers.

"Prince Magnus seems to be in love with you. I knew my daughter would get a man who'll cherish her more than anything," Rhea said, her eyes brimming with tears.

"His Highness didn't let me feel bad about my eyes at all. Prince Magnus asked me to enjoy my life as much as I can. Despite being a vampire, he was gentle toward me, Mother. I hope I become a good wife to him," Alora stated. But she didn't know what it meant to be a wife.

"I know you'll be a good wife to Prince Magnus," Rhea said and embraced her. She couldn't explain the feeling when she saw the vibrant smile on Alora's face.

Alora hugged her back and immersed herself in that moment. She was upset because of what Venus said to her, but she let it go. Alora wasn't the type of person who would think wrong about anyone. Venus's hatred for her was understandable to her. She decided not to share it with her mother and Magnus since they definitely would scold Venus.

"Mother, I think Prince Magnus is the answer to my eyes. I'm glad I found His Highness," she pronounced with a smile.

"Pardon me for intruding in," a servant suddenly came to the room and interrupted the mother-daughter. "Princess Lillian is outside. She wants to see Miss Alora," she informed them.
