Angry Bastis

Like the elephant dance from *Crayon Shin-chan*.

If Zane drew that skill, his sense of shame would probably do a 360-degree spin on the spot before exploding into oblivion.

After figuring it all out, Zane casually closed the system panel that only he could see.

Seeing that Lorna and the others still hadn't returned, he swiftly immersed his mind into the Reaper's Scythe, quietly comprehending the rules of death.

Time has no meaning during cultivation, and soon enough, evening arrived as Zane continued his training.

A door opening pulled Zane's consciousness back to reality.

Lorna, wearing a playful casual outfit, strolled in with a sweet, innocent smile and threw herself into Zane's arms.

Seeing Lorna's joyful expression, Zane gently stroked her hair and smiled dotingly.

"Did you have fun?" he asked.

"Mm-hmm! I told the Queen all about the things I've done in the universe," Lorna nodded excitedly, her head still nestled in Zane's chest. "She praised me for a long time, saying I reminded her of her younger self."

Meanwhile, Bastis hopped onto Zane's other shoulder and licked his face affectionately.

"Master, it's time for the banquet. The people of Asgard are waiting for us," Bastis said, licking her paws.

Zane patted Lorna on the backside, signaling her to get up, and then led everyone towards the palace for the feast.

Truth be told, Zane wasn't fond of official banquets like these. He much preferred the simplicity of a street-side stall. But he had to give Odin, the old man, some face.

The banquet went as expected. Odin raised his glass, welcoming Zane and the others. Zane politely thanked Asgard for their hospitality.

It was all the usual blah-blah...

While Zane and his group celebrated in Asgard, Thor's Earth girlfriend, Jane Foster, was following a group of kids into an abandoned factory with some strange equipment in hand.

Due to the alignment of the Nine Realms, space and gravity within the factory had broken the normal laws of physics. Heavy trucks weighing tons could be lifted into the air with a child's gentle push, and objects thrown from high places would loop in the distorted space indefinitely.

As Jane investigated the strange phenomenon, she was suddenly sucked into a spatial wormhole.

In an instant, she was transported from the factory to a dim, ruined space filled with shattered debris.

Behind her, a special fluid, glowing with an eerie red light like demon's blood, began to stir restlessly, sensing a living being's presence.

At the same time, Heimdall, who had been keeping a small portion of his mind on her, noticed that she had vanished from Earth. He immediately informed Thor, who was in his chambers giving Loki some "tough love."

Thus, as Odin was apologizing to Zane for Thor's absence at the banquet, Thor had already crossed the Bifrost back to Earth.

In a completely dark, sealed-off space, the leader of the Dark Elves, Malekith, opened his eyes just as the Aether entered Jane Foster's body.

"The Aether has resurfaced. It is time for Asgard and the Nine Realms to pay the price!"

His cold voice echoed throughout the dark ship, lingering ominously...

Early the next morning, Thor anxiously knocked on Zane's door.

After yawning, Bastis opened the door and saw Thor standing there with a worried expression.

"Where's Lord Zane?" Thor asked urgently.

"Master is getting ready. Whatever it is, you'll have to wait a bit longer," Bastis replied nonchalantly, seeing it was just Thor. She turned around, ready to close the door in Thor's face.

But Thor, frantic over his girlfriend's condition, stubbornly wedged his foot in the door before Bastis could shut it.

"Please, let him know. I have an urgent matter to discuss with him!" Thor insisted.

At that moment, the lazy look on Bastis's face vanished. Her star-like beastly eyes suddenly narrowed into slits.

In an instant, the once adorable kitten transformed into a ferocious, primordial beast.

Even though Bastis was only the size of two of Thor's palms, the aura radiating from him was so intense that Thor's nerves were stretched to the limit. His right hand instinctively summoned Mjolnir for defense.

"I said, my master is unavailable. Whatever you need, wait," Bastis said, her tone cold as ice.

Only the elves and Zane's group had the privilege of seeing Bastis's playful and mischievous side. To everyone else, including Thor, the rightful heir to the throne of Asgard, Bastis had nothing but disdain.

People often forgot that she was a god herself!

If Odin or Frigga had been knocking on the door, her attitude might have been different. Odin was also a five-dimensional being, and Frigga had a close relationship with Lorna.

As for Thor? Bastis didn't care in the slightest.

"I really have an urgent matter with your master," Thor insisted stubbornly.

Bastis's eyes became even more dangerous.

"Are you trying to start a war between my master and Asgard?" she growled.

Thor hesitated for a moment, but his love for Jane Foster and the sudden shocking incident made him push through his doubt.

He stood his ground, refusing to back down, locking eyes with Bastis.

This moment revealed that Thor was still not a mature ruler. A true king should always step back and weigh the situation from an outsider's perspective, remaining calm and composed, unaffected by their emotions.

Only this way could they keep their civilization thriving in the harsh universe, protecting it from the ambitions of other civilizations.

Seeing that Thor had no intention of leaving, Bastis's eyes gleamed with a deadly intent.

"You're courting death!"

In an instant, divine power surged from the depths of Bastis's soul and coated her claws with protective energy. She vanished into a blur of motion, appearing above Thor's head in the blink of an eye.

Her divine claws slashed through the air with overwhelming destructive force, aimed straight for Thor's head.

Thor didn't even have time to defend himself with Mjolnir.

All he could do was watch helplessly as Bastis's claws descended toward his head.

An overwhelming sense of doom flooded his mind. If those claws hit, he would die.

No doubt about it. Death was inevitable!
