“Then things took a turn for the worst when everyone in my family died in an accident.”
“Huh?”
This was new information that Joke had heard for the first time. Wolf glanced back to his son, who was sleeping in the room behind them. The faint smile was more than enough to convey this man’s sadness.
“My father, my mother, my brother, and my sister-in-law. My relatives decided to go on a trip, then there was a car accident,” Wolf calmly spoke. “Everyone died. There was the only one who miraculously survived.”
His amber eyes were still fixed on the child. The only person in the world with the same blood as his.
As he watched, Joke’s mouth slightly moved.
“Boom…?”
“That’s right.” He sighed. “Actually, this little guy is my brother’s son.”
Those words made Joke pause. Many questions that had been troubling him were now clear. Especially the one regarding Wolf’s age, as he looked too young to have a child as old as that boy.
