“If they’re trying to fill their decks, won’t buying singles be better?” Joke said.
“Those guys want new cards.” Madame Fon smiled widely. “They saw someone who raised his Halves so well that he defeated a world-rank pro player, so they’re trying to raise their own Halves to fit their decks the best they can… They can’t do that if they get single cards that are mostly second-hand.”
Joke nodded, understanding her explanation, as he walked up to stand in front of the counter.
“Okay. Then you come here and get your champion prize first, Joke.”
Madame Fon said while moving to the computer in front of her. She put out her palm, asking for his ID slot. And Joke had already taken it out.
“Today’s champ gets ten packs of Time to Fly. And a chance to choose the promotion first, too.”
