Chapter 20 - Timeskip

(A bonus chapter to celebrate this fic entering the ranking.)

Resting inside his new home, Adam was tired. Very tired in fact that he just isn't feeling like waking up even after a 12 hours sleep.

For the past 5 days, he has been taking minimal sleep of 3-4 hours a day while he continues to grind in the GFL world.

However, as much as he wanted to sleep. He still has one more task to complete his objectives.

He stared at the ceiling for a few moments while trying to gather his thoughts before he rose up from his bed only to feel something heavy pressing on his body.

"Right, there are five Alice now…" Adam remembers what he had been doing last night with the Dummy Cores he obtained.

"Alice, wake up." Adam grunted, he was feeling famished and wanted to grab a breakfast quickly.

"Nhhn… Master." The blanket lifts up and reveals all five Alice rubbing their sleepiness away while yawning and stretching their body.

"Good morning…"

"Good morning too, Alice." Adam greeted back while crawling out from his bed.

They follow him like little chicks following the mother hen as they make their way to the dining table.

As soon as they arrived, the Agent already prepared the food. Piping hot as if she knew when he would wake up.

"A cup of coffee, Master?" Agent offered.

"Sure." Adam nods.

He looks around and notices the Executioner is absent along with their new addition, Destroyer and Scarecrow. The strange thing about the two newest additions to his rank is that Agent somehow manages to recruit them without needing to fight.

Apparently, not all SF ringleaders are following the Mastermind order willingly. They simply have no choice as their second opinion is death. So, asking them to defect is something simple as long as he has an Agent convincing them.

"Is the Master looking for an Executioner, Destroyer and Scarecrow?"

Adam nods while sipping his coffee. "Where are they?"

"I send them out to run errands for me. I hope that Master didn't mind."

"No, not really. As long as they are not causing trouble." Adam shrugs. He isn't exactly going to control everyone's actions as long as they are not causing him trouble.

"I will keep that in mind, Master." Agent bowed respectfully and duly noted his order.

While eating his breakfast, Adam decided to read the news through his Scroll to kill some time. There are plenty of interesting articles.

Unusual Grimms activities near the frontier town of Reach. The anomalies are still being investigated by experts around the world.

Assasination attempt on General Ironwood that leaves him in critical state!

The biggest heist ever in the history of Remnants! Estimated over 300 Billion Lien were stolen digitally through an unknown exploit! Experts raise concerns over how it will impact the economy.

Female residents of Vale raise concerns over a mysterious pervert that steals their undergarments. The VPD vowed to bring the culprit to light.

The infamous Dust robber, Roman Torchwick had ceased his activities? The VPD is grateful for this new development however will still promise to put an end to this criminal once and for all.

Adam spent over half an hour reading those articles but from what he concluded, the Zombie outbreak somehow still hasn't started to affect any kingdoms and settlements. Which is weird to be honest. But not unwelcome. The more time he has to prepare, the better.

"Master! Master!" All five Alice swarmed near him and pulling on his shirt.

"Hmn? One by one please. I alone can hardly listen to all of you at once." Adam sighed helplessly and wondered if this is the pain of a parent.

"I wanna go to the city with Master!"

"Me too!" x4

Once all five of them realize they have the same request, another fight ensues as they fight for who will have Adam.

Agent came to his side and offered advice. "I think this is a good opportunity for Master to relax a little." She said and frowned at his relentless grind that she found very unhealthy both physically and mentally.

"Hmn. It's a good idea actually. I wanted to buy new clothes for them." He points at the five Alice(s) glaring and growling at one another.

The clothes they are wearing aren't exactly appropriate and very revealing with their crotch basically covered with just a panty and nothing else.

"Then go ahead, Master. Also, please use this for your expenses." Agent pulled out a credit card that burst out with blinding light and also device that looked like a normal wristwatch. "This is a disguising tool for Master to conceal his appearance." She explained and showed him how to use it.

Once she activated the device. His face and hair changed. Now he has a different appearance that closely resembles Alice and also a blond hair with an animal ear resembles her.

"This disguise is perfect for your outing, Master."

"Thanks, Agent. You helped me a lot lately. I don't know how I could ever repay all of them" Adam thanked her.

"It's fine, Master. It's my purpose to serve you."

Meanwhile, the five had stopped their fight and stared at Adam in daze with sparkly eyes for some reason.

"Master looks like us!"

"Yes. Now put on your cloak, we are going to the mall to buy all of you new clothes."

Adam is willing to fork out his precious SAS $ to buy four additional cloaks for each of them rather than letting them walk out in their current outfit.

———

At the mall, Adam and Alice(s) stood out a lot mainly because they thought Alice(s) are identical quintuplets. Which is the explanation he uses whenever someone asks.

"How about this? This? Ahh! They look cute in all of them!"

"Yang, I think you are scaring them."

"Shush, Rubes. You are just jealous I pay more attention to them than you."

"No, I am not. Blake… some help please." The black haired girl named Ruby turned to one of her teammates for help.

"Yang, Ruby is right. You are scaring them."

"Not you too, Blake…" The blond shoots a betrayed look to her partner.

Meanwhile Adam has to stand before the blond while Alices are huddling behind him for protection.

Weiss, the rational one could only sigh and apologize profusely to Adam for Yang's behavior.

"No, it's alright. She is just too excited and I can guess why." Adam put on a polite smile while hoping this disguise is foolproof or else he will be in trouble.

With the help of Team Rwby which is what they introduced themselves as, Adam managed to buy a few clothes that range from casual to dresses. The clerk was very enthusiastic to assist because Adam will be buying five sets of each. He also buys some clothes for himself.

After that, they went to have some fun at the arcade which was Yang's suggestion. Surprisingly, Alices enjoy playing at the arcade especially the whack a mole game which they liked the most to the extent of asking Adam if they can bring it back home.

While he is watching on the side while Alices are playing with the arcade machine, Weiss surprisingly comes up to him and asks a question.

"Mr Adam, I couldn't help but notice the card you used a moment ago. Isn't that a limited edition credit card famous for having no limit? There are only five that ever existed and I am curious how you got your hands on one?" She asked.

"Huh?" Adam was surprised by the question which he had no answer to. He can't exactly just say the Agent gave it to him.

This conversation somehow attracted the attention of the other and Weiss seems to suspect him even more as her brow is furrowing.

"As expected…" Weiss suddenly acts like she figured out his identity which made him incredibly worried. If his identity is revealed, Alice will be implicated too.

"You are the CEO of the SF Heavy Industry right? I heard of it, a new company that seeks to mine Dust in Grimm infested territory using robots and machines without the need of any humans."

"I am Weiss Schnee. You should know what that means right? I am very impressed by the innovative approach your company took to mine the Dust deposits outside of Vale. It was estimated more than 80% of the world's Dust deposits were located outside of the four kingdoms…" She continued to run her mouth about how she admired him and wished to learn from him.

The only problem is, Adam has no idea what she is talking about. No, he actually did but just a little. He remember Agent mentioned this before. She said something about creating a company to increase his influence in politics, something… that he didn't really understand.

"Wow! Is that true? Mr Adam has a Dust mining company?" Ruby is also excited for some reason and the way she looks at him like a sweet and delectable cookie is very and I emphasize again, very concerning.

As for Blake, she somehow looks hostile when Weiss mentions he owns a Dust mining company. But when she mentioned the part where he employs no actual human worker in the mine, her hostility is replaced with awkwardness as he is staring right at her which means he noticed the look she gave him.

*Cough* "Why don't we grab some lunch first? My treat."

At the mention of food, Alices already swarming back at him. They each inform Adam what they wanted to eat. Each wants a different food.

"Right, I remember seeing a restaurant over there. Let's go." Adam takes the lead as Alice and Team Rwby follow behind him.

Adam can feel the gazes boring at his back and he unfortunately has no answer to give as he is similarly clueless. So, his best bet is to simply avoid answering.

———

Meanwhile, with Agent and Scarecrow.

"The production line is completed. As long as it is constantly fed with material, it can produce up to 2 Aegis model robots per hour." Scarecrow explains the results of her work to the Agent. "These robots, depending on the modification, can turn into combat robots, miner robots and construction robots as you requested."

"Great. You did your job well, Scarecrow. Is there anything you want as a reward?" Agent praised while Scarecrow didn't really show much reaction with a mask hiding the lower half of her face.

"Nothing really. But if possible, I want to have a few duplicates. It makes my job easier around here." Scarecrow shakes her head as she has no particular need for anything for herself.

"Of course, I will forward this request to the Master later." Agent nods and notes down the request in her head before she excuses herself and lets Scarecrow do her job in peace.

Just as she exited the factory, Executioner contacted her. Agent first finds a suitable place before she answers the call.

'Agent, we found the place. Our report has been sent to you.'

"Wait a moment, Executioner." Agent read the report quickly and analyzed it before she gave her next order. "Good, everything is as planned. We can start the second phase immediately with this." Agent reveals a grin on her usually stoic face.

"Next is this location. Secure it and wait for the builder robots to arrive. I want you two to oversee the construction of the outpost and guard it."

'Can you include a shipment of booze too? I need something to drink.'

"Hmn. Considering your excellent performance. I will but it better not hinder your work or else."

'Yes, Ma'am!'

The transmission ends and Agent finds herself even busier even after having four more Dummies helping her reduce her workload.

Next, she found herself in front of Roman Torchwick's base. The grunt immediately recognised her and led her in as she now stood in front of Roman who already knew the purpose of her visit.

"It's not our fault okay. Who knows he has someone that can see through Neo's disguise." Roman quickly defended his partner.

"I know and I am not blaming you for your failure. I am here to help." Agent explained before taking out a data chip and handing it to Roman. "Tell your partner to upload the file inside this chip into any device connected to Atlas military. It should allow her to momentarily cripple all of their assets for a few times. That should be enough opportunity for her to get her job done."

"Shesh, my employer sure hates General Ironwood. Did he kill his family or something?" Roman fakes a playful question in an attempt to prod Agent but unfortunately she sees through the trick effortlessly and maintains a blank face.

"Alright, my bad. I shouldn't ask sensitive questions." He prod again while trying to apologize but unfortunately still gained no reaction.

"Get the job done before I change my mind and employ someone else." Agent left behind a warning to Roman before she leaves the building.

After Agent left, Roman dropped his act and sighed. "What sin had I committed to earn this? First Cinder, now is Agent. After this, who? These crazy bitches keep appearing one after another." Roman complained while his mens didn't even know how to comfort their boss.

(Ok, enough preparation. Time to start the outbreak. Also to those that wonder why the outbreak had yet to happen after more than a week since the collapse of Ansel. Salem see the Zombie Grimms as a provocation of war toward her and pump out more Grimms to fight back but unknowingly help the Zombie Grimms bolster their number rapidly which make the outbreak much worse than planned.)
