Continuing The Trek

"Bloodfang." Lua said, making up a name on the spot. He was trying his best not to sound nervous. 

"..." Fren was quiet for a moment, as if he was thinking. This abnormal silence by him made Lua very nervous.

"Eh, well, I don't even know about any of the tribes!" Fren burst out laughing. Lua exhaled sharply, exasperated by him.

I got lucky… I should learn more about the local culture and circumstances. I didn't even know such wide-spread civilisations were able to exist in this place. It feels like I'm learning something new every single day…

He had naturally come to doubt everything that he had ever learned. If he had been lied to about sustainable life being impossible in the Terra Incognita, what else could he have been lied to about?
