Chapter 770: Friend or Foe

Gu Fan took a deep breath to calm himself, then whipped around and kicked out without aiming, only to meet thin air.

"How could this be?" Gu Fan was flabbergasted. He was sure something had hit the back of his head.

But no matter, Gu Fan continued to walk forward, his heart pounding with apprehension. He knew similar incidents were yet to take place.

As expected, something did hit his head from behind. Gu Fan immediately swung back, lashing out with another kick. Yet, again, he hit nothing.

A bead of cold sweat trickled down Gu Fan's forehead, adding to his mounting anxiety. Knowing that he was being pursued by an enigma, it was impossible to keep going serenely.

So, he arranged three of the headless people to protect his rear while the other four led the way. His heart raced, and his footsteps faltered. Heer was fearful of what might happen next.
