Chapter 361: Lost Companions

Jumping from the roof of one building to another was exhausting, but at least it was safe. As long as they weren't eaten by the beast-like people below, they could do anything.

During this, Qin Jia had a momentary slip and nearly fell. Fortunately, Du Jun grabbed her hand tightly and, with the help of Lu Yi and Gu Fan, pulled her back to safety.

Having narrowly escaped death, Qin Jia burst into tears at the thought of her close encounter with the beasts below.

Lu Yi couldn't help but complain, "Du Jun, don't you know how to protect a woman? You brought Qin Jia here despite the dangerous journey."

"Why blame me? Gu Fan brought his girlfriend too. We had Lin Xi then; she could have ensured Qin Jia's safety. Who knew we'd be separated later on?" Du Jun fired back defensively.

Gu Fan quickly jumped in to prevent further argument. "Enough, both of you. We still have a long way to go."
