"Why does Grandma have Mr. Hans' picture?" Charles was puzzled, his mind swirling with questions.
As Grandma's sobs gradually subsided, she leaned heavily against him, slipping further into unconsciousness.
"Grandma! Grandma! Wake up!" Charles exclaimed, shaking her gently in a panic.
Hearing Charles's distress, Hans hurried to the garden to investigate.
Upon reaching Charles and the woman, Hans approached quickly, and concern etched on his face.
"What's going on?"
"She suddenly passed out. I found her crying," Charles explained hurriedly.
"Let's get her some help, take her to the infirmary," Hans suggested, gently taking the woman's hand. As he did, he noticed the photograph of him and Martha. Looking at her face, he was taken aback to see his beloved Martha, eyes closed and oblivious.
"Martha," Hans whispered, his voice trembling with emotion as he struggled to say her name.
